Good and Bad Mac ports

Since we can now get plenty of Mac ports of PC games on Goozex, let's share our experiences:

Good:

- Jedi Knight II - looks fantastic, OpenGL use is wonderful!

- Knights of the Old Republic

- Baldur's Gate 2 (and expansion) - no reason not to experience one of the best games ever!

 

Bad:

- Soldier of Fortune 2 - performs like crap

- Jedi Academy - not one of their better ports

Other:

- Icewind Dale - works well, but  lacks all of the extra stuff that PC gamers got and the community mods, etc.

Battlefield 1942 had bad performence. For quite awhile Nexuiz had really bad performence on low end to even high end macintoshes.

Wonderful ... and with EA coming back to Mac games ...

I wish I could find KOTOR.

 KotOR is definitely difficult to find - I had sold my copy when I got out of Mac gaming and only *just* got a Goozex copy last week.  Playing it now ... runs wonderfully, but could use higher resolution options.

On the bad side:

- Neverwinter Nights 2 ... awful framerates, and I haven't even made it out of the tournament yet!
