Looking through the offerings for 360 and Wii, there's an awful lot of Downloadable games included in the selection, and it would be nice if there was a way to filter searches based on that criteria. I looked in the advanced search, and didn't see an option.
There's no need to remove XBLA and VC games from the listing, as some are currently being traded and more could be traded in the future, but I'd like to be able to filter them out (or even filter for XBLA titles that are currently available for trade). All platforms should be able to share the same "Downloadable" designation, and it would be as appropriate to that platform. Perhaps a "Physical" flag could be given to Disc based games to make the distinction clearer.

I don't use it, so I don't really know it's capabilities, but have you tried the advanced search engine?

I think this is a great idea!!! I just looked at the new releases (Xbox 360) and 80% of them are xbox live games that I wouldn't ever add here.
I would love an option to remove these from the search.
i dont use live so this would be a nice addition for me as well. Even if I did I probably still wouldnt request any arcade games ( except maybe MVC 2 ). These games add alot of titles to the database and if you are looking for games at certain point values then alot of thes titles pop up that you must filter through afterwards.
Good suggestion. I would also like to be able to filter out downloadable games. I would also like to just be able to search for downloadable games only.

I've been thinking about this as well and was going to post about it eventually. I guess I got too lazy so it's a good thing you brought it up =). I found it rather annoying when using the advanced search option to look for 100-200pt Xbox360 games and have my search results flooded with community and arcade games (mostly community games =/ ). Unless there is some kind of keyword like -community or -arcade that can eliminate these games, I think there should be an option, checkbox, or keyword to either exclude these games from the search results or to look for them exclusively. It may be a minor inconvenience but it would bring up the search results faster (because there's less to load), and I can find what I want easier without having to wade through the multitude of community games.
I agree with this request and hope it gets implemented soon. I would definitely use it a lot.

I fully support this idea. I would love to be able to search for JUST XBLA titles that I might have wanted, but didn't want to spend actual money on or some WiiWare or VC games to check out as well.

I agree as well. Have a filter for arcade and vc - also for the people that want arcade titles, that there should be a specific section on the left hand menu with an "arcade" section.
