Hi there, I saw on a site that if you siged up here you got 100points to purchase a video game. well i signed up, i have my 100 pts, found the game i want but dont see how to purchase it, it just keeps taking me to amzon and their price in money. i am confused, i thought i could purchase one with my points. how do i do this??
Reading the FAQ would be a good place to start.
But, the short story is you need to click the add to request list button on the game you want. Your free game for signing up will have to bee a 100 point game, as that is all you can be matched with unless you trade games out to get points or buy points. Also Goozex is not like a store you will need to wait for someone to agree to send you the game which can take some time depending on the game you request.

dang :(
I guess it'll be forever getting Spyro 2 then :(
Actually Jazzer, its pretty quick, I had 2 I just activated as I collected enough points that said "long wait", next day I had 2 matches - one is still pending an acknowledgement from the trader....
I am new too, so I hear what you are saying, it just takes a little time...It beats paying for it new(if that helps)

Is that such a bad thing?
I kid, I kid.
You can do an advanced search of the games library and find some really good 100 point games. Have you tried that?
I just signed up tonight, seems like an overall good idea. I hope it works out, I added a few games to my library to trade away.
"long wait" means your OVERALL place in line is 100+ This doesn't neccessarily mean you'll have to wait that long. For example. Say you want a game and put it in your request list, but there are 145 people who put it there before you. you are 145th in the overall line, BUT only 10 of those people are "ready"(have the points and credit, and are only waiting for a match). If you become ready you will then be 11th in line, and get matched quickly. but if someone who was on the line before but was not ready becomes ready then you will be bumped to 12th. I hope I explained that well.
At chris100185's comment: Thank you for the info. That clears up a lot of misconceptions for me. I just requested a game(Halo 1) and I was 57th in line yesterday when i checked. And lol today morning it says it is being sent to me today. I put it on disc only though, and that might have helped the trade go faster too. Anyways regardless that is an important bit of info for any new user.

Where do I locate whether it is a long wait or not? Is there a place that I can check to see if I posted correctly what it is that I am requesting? I am having difficult finding my way around. Is there a place that I should be watching to find out if my selection is available to me, how do I know if the game has been sent?
On average is there a common wait for people to receive a game?....
On the other end we have games we would like to share. Is there a common way of wrapping games to prevent damage when shipping out? How do I check status on others if I need to send out to others? Does all the information come via email?
Alright, I'll try to break this down for you.
tripletsnthree:Where do I locate whether it is a long wait or not?
You can check your position in line by checking either your requests page (if you want a game sent to you) or your offers page (if you want to send a game out.)
tripletsnthree:Is there a place that I can check to see if I posted correctly what it is that I am requesting?
A little confused about this question. Are you asking if there is a place where you can see the games you are requesting?
tripletsnthree:Is there a place that I should be watching to find out if my selection is available to me, how do I know if the game has been sent?
Check your email. Any important info (i.e: you've been matched to send a game out, you have a game in the mail coming to you, etc) will be sent directly to your inbox.
tripletsnthree: On average is there a common wait for people to receive a game?....
This varies depending on games. New releases can take about 2 months, older games may not even have a wait...
tripletsnthree:Is there a common way of wrapping games to prevent damage when shipping out?
The standard method of shipping on goozex is using bubble mailers, first-class shipping with Delivery Confirmation.
tripletsnthree:How do I check status on others if I need to send out to others?
Can you define this question a little better. A bit confused on this as well.
