In the long run, it seems like shipping multiple games would add up to quite a bit in shipping costs, and would ultimately add up to more than one would pay for a retail game. I don't really have any experience with shipping stuff, but it seems like sending a fully packaged game would cost about 6 bucks considering packaging and postage. Am I right in thinking that sending a 100pt game is not really cost-effective?
I feel the goozex points have a good value and the 100 points is better than what you'd get at GS/EB most of the time. In my case a 100 point game costs $2 to mail and $0.30 for the mailer.

Where do you get 6 dollars from? I bought bubblemailers in bulk off of eBay, each one costs less than $.50. Then, shipping with Delivery confirmation is less than $3. So, about $3 for shipping.
$6 a game? Are you shipping priority? You dont need to do that. Shipping First Class + Delivery Confirmation should cost no more than $3 for any game and it will get there in 3 days. Thats fast enough.
3 dollars?
It looks like I'm adding the majority of my xbox collection, then.

Yeah, its a little more than $2 for a standard full package game, about $3 with delivery confirmation(which you should always get). My bubble mailers cost me about 20 cents a piece, my local Kroger sells them super cheap when they are on sale and I buy them in bulk then.
Also, Happy Goozexing, may you become one of the regulars!
Shipping to Canada via first-class is also under $3.00, it lacks delivery confirmation though.
Yes, 100 point games are not the path to 'get rich quick'!
But they are an essential part of the Goozex economy ... I have gotten rid of loads of stuff that way - and also picked up tons of classics!

Using PayPal shipping, most games can be shipped with delivery confirmation for $2 (give or take) and I usually have a spare bubble mailer around that I can re-use. If I received a game via Goozex, I paid an additional $1 for the privilege (though not this month!)
That makes it an overall 'game rental fee' of $3 or so.
For games with a higher point value, you also take the risk that the point value may drop in the intervening time, but for 100 point games, you don't have that risk. Either way, I'll take a $3 rental that I can keep as long as I like over a $7.95 rental from Blockbuster that has to be back with them in a week and a half.
Oh, and I've stocked up on 100-point games this month...
just went out to send off my first two games :D
shipping cost for both was 3.28 first class.
i bought two bubble mailers for 99 cents each.
great deal imo.
needleinthehay:great deal imo.
Bettere deal, imo, HERE.
I think they're the right size. I'm spaced out and sick, too lazy to measure a game, and my envelopes are bigger, since I sometimes mail out multiple games at a time through CAG.

If you still have a significant library you want to trade and/or you see yourself trading a lot I can vouch for those who've bought mailers in bulk on eBay. I'm on my second box of 100, and I've paid less than $20/100 including shipping. The other trick is to use PayPal shipping which may have been noted earlier (https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_ship-now&info). Most full package standard DVD-based games usually cost no more than $2.50 to ship that way.
Welcome to Goozex!!
To each their own in regards to shipping out 100 point games. Some I have listed, the others I have thought weren't worth the cost and hassle... I agree wholeheartedly that they are an important part of the Goozex trading universe.
