Feel that cool breeze in the air? See those leaves changing color? It's the precursor to the holiday season and the lull before the storm. Well you'd think...this month has some great games coming out! Last month was all about Halo 3.
Here are the Goozex October game picks:
Guitar Hero 3 is my most wanted for this month, looking forward to playing all the new songs and the new online play. Also looking forward to PGR 4 which I'll probably use my Goozex points on, I enjoyed PGR 3 quite a bit. The new Zelda looks cool but I'll probably get that later on since I don't play my portables too much.
Muse wouldn't lie, would it?
Man, there isn't anything coming out in October that has my interest. I curious about how the new America's Army for the 360 is going to be. Next month is the big one:
Call of Duty 4
Assassins Creed
Kane and Lynch
Army of Two
Soldier of Fortune: Payback
v1lakon3 -- next month will be deadlock for me...4 of the 5 have been on my radar for a long time...and after PAX, Kane and Lynch looked very cool...but it'll probably be Assassin's Creed for me.
A couple of big sellers we didn't include this month were NBA 2K8 and FIFA 08. Of all the sports games I usually have the most fun with FIFA.
I voted for The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, but I am psyched for Guitar Hero 3. Just, I'm REALLY looking forward to Rock Band, and voting for GH3 would have made me feel like I was betraying it. I'm psyched for Rock Band, and glad the bundle price is lower than expected, though still quite a bit of cash. And NO, Goozexers, don't expect me to be putting that package on Goozex, heh.
My personal choice would be the Mask of the Betrayer expansion for Neverwinter Nights 2.
Since that wasn't offerred I chose Zelda ... also since I am already playing Enemy Territory: Quake Wars for review I am no longer looking forward to it (wouldn't be a top choice since it is only multiplayer)
Oh - and for the Soldier of Fortune game next month ... I am highly dubious since it isn't developed by Raven.

I've been waiting for and looking forward to Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for too long now...I think that it has been over a year since the announcement of its supposed first release. And yes, I've had it pre-ordered since then. Can't wait to get my hands on it and play some Wind Waker-ish Zelda in a LttP world.

I pre-ordered more recently when it became clear I wasn't getting a review copy from *any* of the sites I do stuff for ...
And my son has one coming for his birthday from my sister in-law (his 11th is today!) so it will be Zelda week at our house!
Hellgate: London for me and Zelda for the kids.
I'll probably also pick up quake wars.
GH3 for me, albeit with slight caution as I still feel a bit cheated from 40 song/full price Encore 80s version... I love the competition the Guitar Hero series is getting from Rock Band as they now have to bring their "A" game.

Yeah, I'll be doing Hellgate as well ... it is interesting that for me that seems far off but I have at least 3 PC games, 3 DS games and 4 PSP games between now and Hellgate ... and that doesn't include a Jedi Knight 10th retrospective and the stuff I have in progress ...
The Orange Box, and it's not even close. I'm more pumped for Portal than any other game itself, but throw in Ep. 2 and TF2 and I'm going nuts.
Hmm.. none of these games are must-haves for me. I think I'll be saving my pennies for next month's onslaught of gaming goodness. However, I voted for Hellgate: London.
