I believe there have been an influx of new users with the free 100 points promotion and that this might be a good time to clarify shipping policies. New users seem to be unclear that receiving a game may take up to 14 business days.
I try to send my games out as quickly as possible (shipping within 1 day) and I even pay $4.60 per game for fast priority mail shipping, yet I still occasionally receive feedback from new users bitching about shipping time. I really think it would benefit everyone to be more clear about what shipping expectations should be.

It really chaps my ass when I'm spending almost $5 per game to ship to be nice, and someone writes in my comments, "Shipping wasn't overly fast, but seller shipped next day." WTF? The only way I could have gotten it to him faster was to pay for overnight or two day delivery. The game went door to door in a week, and that includes two days when the post office is closed (Sunday and MLK Monday). Christ, you've got to be kidding me.
It's really off-putting when you do what's required of you and more only to have someone bitch in the end. This makes me think I should start sending everything via Media Mail making people wait even longer for their games, then I should spend the extra $3.16 per game on someone who isn't clueless.

Ive personally never had anyone complain too much on the feedback page, but Im sure it happens. It does tend to be the new user because they are a little more impatient since they have the limitation restrictions on them. I remember when I was new I used to get a little annoyed waiting for games and waiting for feedback.
I too have had some problems getting games out in a timely manner the last month or so, with the holidays and what not.
Personally, as long as I get the possitive 10pt feedback, I dont care what they write. I have had someone leave me a 5pt possitive feedback ("received game, but not in the condition I expected) on brand new games I sent out, now thats really irritating.

From my experience, USPS 1st Class mail arrives just as quickly as the other means, if not quicker, and at the most competitive pricing for anything the weight of a typical video game. That has been my experience. In re: to noobs, a polite PM seems to educate them best. I think that it is more a confusion or a misunderstanding about the nature of Goozex that frustrates them.

e-mail feedback @ goozex.com and give them the proof of delivery, they should sort it out for you.

A nice feature would be to include tracking... Like GameTZ.

Not trying to point fingers or even accuse anyone of anything, but what would happen if something like that happened when a game was shipped to Canada? I'm not saying it will happen but realisticly it could.
Boy, I've really got to remember to cool down before writing an email after having a fit! Sorry to litter the forum.
Maybe I we can focus on the suggestion above to include a field for tracking information. I try to send confirmation PM's when sending games with a delivery confirmation number. Would this be very difficult to add? Of course it would be optional as not everyone ships with some sort of tracking info, I know, but it still might be handy.
Goozex, I still love you, baby.

Being in Canada and shipping to the states is somewhat troublesome as often it would be cheaper to buy Goozex points than to ship a game with delivery confirmation (magiic knows more about the shipping than I do, I'm not sure if he uses the paypal method). As a lot of people mention, trust is required and if something does go wrong Goozex is there to help with any problems.
When I ship to the States I let them know when I ship it and approximately how long it takes (10 - 15 business days). If I'm getting a game from the States and it's getting close to the automatic closing date I just pm the shipper to see if they have or if they were a little late. It's been my experience that things can take up to a month to ship internationally. For the most part we have an amazing community and communication is the key which I think the newer users will come to understand.
As a new user, I agree completely with what you said. Having dealt with Paperback Swap for so long and now Swap a DVD, I fortunately have an extremely realistic shipping expectation. I've not received any games yet, but I have sent one, and s/he was extremely nice about the transaction.

Considering you have traded a few games, you should realize that you can send the 'confirm shipped' message with the delivery confirmation number included. I know GameTZ allows multiple messages for tracking, but this way works well for me - you tell someone you sent and give then the ability to track.
Back to the original post, I have never had a problem with this, but the forums seem full of very young (or just immature) kids who expect to get a match and have the game next day like Netflix ... but then they complain because they get negative because they couldn't manage to ship it within 3 weeks because of busy football practice schedules ...

When he mentioned it the option didn't exist
