So how many of us share the XX chromosome? I realize that the "girl gamer" quotient is growing, but it's a fairly quiet minority. Just giving a shout out to the other women on the site with me.
Me! I just joined to trade some old games I have in my collection. It's great to see other girls interested in games as much as I do.
hehe, Ok,
I know im not supposed to be here but WOOT WOOT! GIRLS!
Glad to see you on Goozex! :)
hahaha, thanks!
lets hope this post doesn't blow up... have to put an x-rated stamp on it! lol

Come on now. There must be more than 2 of you all here.
But to be honest, if I were a chick gamer, I probably wouldn't advertise it.

I don't hide it any more. too many years of pretending that I didn't like games as a kid. now that I'm pushing 30, it's different. I want to make sure the women feel just as welcome as the guys. so far, goozex has been a great experience for me-the forums are remarkably polite, too. it's a nice change of pace.

Yes, the forums have been remarkably mature and polite. The Goozex community has been a great one.
Once again, it is great to see a girl gamer (here) and to know that you feel so welcome. I really think that the quality of games would improve across the board if there were more girl gamers, so I'm all for it.

Yeah - makes the moderator job pretty easy ... I was concerned that this thread might have issues ... too bad we don't have a more 'gender diverse' mix ...

Some day i'll run into a girl gamer in real life and be swept off my feet. You girl gamers are what makes my world go round. I appreciate every single one of you.

My wife games. I originally got her hooked on Dark Age of Camelot and now we play WoW together. She's also been known to whup me in a game of Worms, now and then.
Although I think it's awesome that she plays games with me, I have to admit it was a little strange the first time I heard her refer to somebody as a 'noob'.

Sorry about the thread-hijack OP, but until the gamer girls arrive....
My wife games some, mostly old stuff like the NES Marios, and puzzle games. As much I thought that I would want a wife who loved gaming as much as I do, I prefer gaming by myself and as my own hobby...plus I'd sooner swim in my own vomit than have to play any co-op games with her. Good gawd she sucks at these new games with any post-SNES controller.
I can't play flight sims to save my life, hahaha.
but I can beat most people at puzzle games.

I'm taking this post as a challenge. At the next DC area CAG/Goozex meetup we should have a puzzle game match-off.
anytime. I live by myself, I can host a get together sometime. besides, it'll be an excuse to geek out & show off my Vectrex.
