This is a solid pole of games. For me it was tough to make a selection. I went ahead and gave Lair the vote over Bioshock. The sole reason was because riding dragons is just sooo badass. Bottom line.

True, but System Shock 1 & 2 are a couple of the best games of all time ... so by relation to those I like Bioshock.
Plus it is the only PC option.
To me Lair, from what Ive seen, ust looks like it set up to be a major flop. It looks to me like a game Id get sick of rather quickly. Some may never grow weary of it.
Im an FPS whore,so I picked Bioshock

Does anyone else think Warhawk should have made this list?

Im just anticipating that game so much. I want to love my PS3 so badly, it just wont let me yet. I also have a huge preference toward online multiplayer.
I gave my vote to Bioshock but I'm still holding out hope that Lair will blow me away and finally give me a game for my PS3.

There were a couple reviews that are better then the EGM one I know one was Gamepro 3.5 out of 5 and another mag gave it a 9 out of 10. So Lair looks like it depends a lot on your taste in games.
Am a little surprised by the lack of attention on Metroid...but for me it's Bioshock...
Besides for the fact that I would be Samus Aran's slave for life (especially with another 2-d adventure), I can honestly say that I am not over the moon excited about the new Metroid. I'll probably pick it up used or even here, but it is not even in my top 5 this month. I know the BioShock has all of the good buzz, but being in an underwater city running around with shocking power doesn't feel bad-ass to me. I'm all about Lair. God willing it is a above-average game, but I know that it can go either way pretty easily. Lair has been pre-ordered and paid in full for months, and it will be my first TRUE ps3 game if all goes well. Never been a dragon or fantasy guy, but Lair has me loving the dragon scene. So much so that I requested Reign of Fire again to satiate my dragon jones for the time being.
