Played OB64? Obviously you can't get from Goozex cause of the 64 part, but its an excellent sequel to the orginal. Matsuno didn't work on it but the games still pretty badass, I consider it better than the orginal.

Good luck with that and be prepared the face absurdly hard AI. I don't see why its 1000 points though, its an excellent game, but in reality its just a snes port with translation patch slapped on. Its sad what happened to TO and FFT. They both got cheap GBA sequel with cruddy story and insanely retarded AI. Also neither sequel was graphically better or as systematically complex.

I got my Ogre Battle request, which I would have expected to take longer, so I'm hopeful that eventually the disc only on hold will be available.

Speaking of Tactics Ogre, there is one copy disc only on hold. Someone needs to take it off hold and take my 1000 points already. =D I've been itching to play that game again since I lost it 9 years ago.

Final Fantasy Tactics was great, but the PSP re-release was garbage.

The cutscenes are classy, and the new translation was a vast improvement over the original, but the actual gameplay suffered as a result of the poor port. The framerate dropped across the board, and the music lost all the effects that made it memorable.

Also, the two new characters they added - Balthier, especially - effectively broke the game. The ability to not steal from bosses was lame as hell. And the multiplayer mode was a joke.

I never played the psp rerelease all the way through. Was Cloud still in it?

I don't see any reason not to include Cloud..... Although I heard Luso for Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 is there. That guys a joke, always making some retarded positive remark in severe situations. You'll know what I mean if you ever play A2, his character alone ruins what little potential the story has.

Not a cent lolz. You know on other forums, you'd feel like a complete retard for saying that Tactics Ogre is better than FFT?! I have tried it too. Lets just say insulting FFT was the worst day of my life. I used hate to FFT, but then I actually played it and got used to things, and lets just say I was more than addicted. My suggestion is actually play at least 3+ hours of FFT before you go saying its outdated. As Square-Enix as a company, my loyalty to by from them keeps shifitng. The only reasons why was FFT was good was becuase it was MADE for the playstation, unlike TO which was orginally snes, and Matsuno had worked it.

The thing with FFT is, yes, on psp, it pretty much is garbage. Compared to all that can be done in games now, it's not great. But for the time frame, when it was released over a decade ago, it was pretty sweet. It was to SRPGs what Nirvana was to the grunge scene. Sure, it wasn't the first, and it probably wasn't the best, but it was the one to break through with mass appeal and success.

Actually even in comparsion to Tactical RPGs today, I believe nothing has really suparssed it yet. Look at Final Fantasy Tactics A2, decent game with a nice combat system, but in terms of story and customization it offers nothing that FFT doesn't have. It actually has a lot less.

I recall classes called fire mage, ice mage, and thunder mage, all the same sprite, but different colors. I always thought Laharl, Etna, and Flonne were the only story based chararacter you got, at least thats all I got during my rental period. I also think its absurd how simply by making new mentees(people who follow a mentor) and leveling them the mentor gets jacked stats. An easy way abuse that is to let your mentees finish off enemies on higher levels. Just make tons of low level mentees+repeat prodecure and you'll have unstoppable mentors.

1. I found the voice acting insanely annoying

2. Characters can't class change, gimme a break!

3. While fun, 3 mains just isn't enough.

4. Recolors for different classes shows lazyiness.

5. Overcomplicated.

A couple things.

I'm not sure where you keep getting this 3 main characters thing you keep mentioning. It's been a while since I've played it, but I can recall at least 6 or 7 mains. You got your demons and angel (I assume this is the 3 you're referring to), 2 humans, a robot, and Prier from the game that Disgaea is an indirect sequel of.

The recolors were not for different classes. They were the same classes, but a stronger or weaker version of it. If a ranger was just a recolored fighter, I'd be right there with you, that's lazy inexcusable. In this case, since it's the same classes, in my view, that's all right.

The game isn't complicated at all. Some of the later levels in the item world can be a bitch, but over all it's an easy game.

You're free to think FFT is better, by all means. I just wanted to point these out, because although I like FFT a lot too, I want to make sure Disgaea gets a fair shake.
