Lurk, what comic/graphic novel are you reading now?

Nothing atm.  After I asked (iirc) comicgeek to spoil the very last chapters of Y, I became disillusioned.  Haven't read anything recently?  Any suggestions?  I've got some time this afternoon so I might head over to the local comic store.  Can you believe that the local mall still has one of those?

That's pretty cool, I never seen a comic store in a mall. The one I go to is out in a plaza hidden in the back next to a dance studio (ballet and modern or interpretive dancing). I haven't been reading much lately, I guess the most recent one would be Walking Dead (starting to fade in interest don't want to spoil). My friends are trying to get me to read the Marvel Civil War series (pretty good so far). Misread World War Hulk and Planet Destroyer Hulk (I think that's the title) before the Civil War (oops).

the end of Y was a huge let down, however "ex machina" seems to have picked up and become substantially cooler since BKV has announced the impending end of the series. the book has gotten kind of heavy handed in the right way for a change. and it seems that the first of the "last four arcs" is not only going to answer a couple of the series big questions but seems to be setting up a cool twist on the "invaders from another dimension" premise set up about halfway through the book-which if goes the way i think it is will be frakking awesome. some other series worth picking up in trade form for a good read.... 1. the walking dead 2. noble causes (and dynamo 5) 3. invincible 4. 100 bullets 5. fables 6. new x-men (morrison/quitely series) 7. ultimate spidey 8. the max punisher stuff 9. top ten (from americas best-start with the alan moore stuff-the follow up/prequel are also quite good). 10. promethea (the whole series rocks but the final arc works much better if you read all of the other americas best stuff first)
