I completely agree.  What purpose does it serve having a database with all of these "rare" games with multiple dozens of waiting-to-receive traders if the current point barrier will rarely - if ever - allow for a trade to occur?  Goozex makes its money off of trades occuring, and we benefit when we can receive games we want, so it seems to me like all parties benefit if the point barrier is set to a more market-drive number where games like Suikoden II and Valkyrie Profile can be exchanged in this medium.

It would also be nice if games like Breath of Fire III and IV and Final Fantasy Tactics had more accurate pricing to get some more activity flowing with them, but now I am just being picky =)

I don't think Final Fantasy Tactics is really a 1000+ game based on current Amazon prices, but right not, trading games that come with hardware (Guitar Hero and Rock Band) is largely out.

Here are the games that "gamers" want (not collectors) that anyone would be stupid to sell for 1,000 points:

Rock Band with instruments

GH II or III with guitar

Ace Combat with the flight stick

Either of the DDR games with dance pad

Shipping alone will eat you alive.  I'd like to see more points offered for the above games so that more would be traded with these accessories here.  Lots of kids got Rock Band or GHIII for Christmas and will want to be trading it soon.

But that does beg a question that Goozex may not want to be involved in:  What happens when the Rock Band drum set I got in the mail arrives broken?  Who buys me a new $160 game?

It would also be nice (as mentioned in other threads) to exceed 1000 for collector's editions that are (on the 360 and PS3) $64.99 or higher retail. Right now they're the same pt value as the standard editions in many cases.

You must have your auto complete on because that would be a pain to remember how many o's and b's go where every time!

Games need to go above 1000 points, no doubt about it.  Especially games like Guitar Hero or Rock Band with peripherals.  What's the harm in allowing games to go up to 1100, and 2000 if it's a $100+ game.

It's been tried, and it didn't end well.

It was a mistake to apply it to games that retail for $50.  It is a mistake to not do it now on games that are new and sell for $60 or more.

But that is what they did do. and as madfigs said, it failed miserably.

look at that alone, like you said NEW, no used game whether its brand new or not is going to retail for the same price either way

Pizza guys are getting worse and worse looking. I guess all the good ones went into porn.
