I just got a Negative for "Unplayable disk" for Super Mario Allstars - SNES.
sellers comment: "Game sometimes won't load, despite being cleaned twice. Save battery doesn't work."I tried the game before it went out and it worked fine, and I dindn't have to clean it, it played.
then I looked at their profile page and under about me this is what it says.
"Please don't send any player's choice/platinum/greatest hits or damaged/defaced games. (No label damage, stains, writing on games, or missing pages from manuals.)"
I wish i would have seeen this eairlyer, the cart had someones name written on the back(seems like all SNES carts do) with a sharpie. as for the battery when I tried it out it still have the save for awhile back on it, so I think it's fine.
Dispute it and then he will probably have to send it in to Goozex for inspection.
I guess it's over, after I left a message for him to escalate to goozex.
All this happened in one day:
Seller's last comment before escalation: "Ok. I'll escalate to Goozex. It may be that a game that loads sometimes and not others is considered acceptable, but I'd like to find out. The points aren't that important to me, I just want a game that works consistently.BTW, you might have to escalate too, based on this thread:http://www.goozex.com/community/forums/p/62841/374141.aspx"
Sellers comments after escalation: "I've recently seen a different problem with a different game, so I'll have to assume it's the system. I'll change the feedback accordingly. Sorry for the trouble."
and then he changed the feedback Positive +10 :) And the whole time I was asking him to make sure it wasn't his system. Thanks for all the help guys.
EDIT: Also when I looked at the feedback he left my a tip? hmmm.
BillsNG: chris100185: Well I would consider a dad battery as no functioning. Besides isn't a dead battery a negative for non-working game? You don't necessarily need the battery for the game to work.

Yes you do. The game isn't reasonably playable without the ability to save. Especially for something like an RPG

Mario Allstars? not really. Don't forget that every game in that collection (unless it's the version with World on it) was released on the NES with no saving ability.
While it might not help this time, I posted this over at GoozerNation recently, primarily from when I was getting info here in the forums to fix an old GB cartridge of my own.

FYI - I don't thik the battery is dead on my cart, I tried it out and there was an old save on it.

True, but you can't really make a rule that certain games are worthy of a egative for ddead batteries, while others aren't.
Latest from the seller : "Yes it does play. The non-loading problem usually happens when I insert the game, eject and insert again.Sure, you may say if it loads the first time, why eject, but when comparing it to other carts I have, the others load almost every time no matter what I do.I don't want to leave negative feedback, but I don't want a cart that so often doesn't load either. If I could send it back to you and get my points back, I would."
He wants to cancel the trade, but why should I cancel when even in his comments he says it works? I don't get this guy. I think this has more to do with the name written on the back of the cart than anything else, I should have sent him a PM before I accepted the trade and told him, and normally I do, but hindsight is 20/20. Am I being unreasonable here?

So he has problems when he takes the game out while playing it then puts it back in? That is stupid, tell him to leave it in while playing it. I would tell him to suck it up and leave whatever feedback he wants as you will dispute a negative or neutral and you will win. Sure it sucks that it has a name written on it but that is no reason to act the way he is acting.
Thank you, G-Nitro, for honoring your word to me.
Also, congratulations, op.

He was trying to rip you off.
