I just got a Negative for "Unplayable disk" for Super Mario Allstars - SNES.
sellers comment: "Game sometimes won't load, despite being cleaned twice. Save battery doesn't work."I tried the game before it went out and it worked fine, and I dindn't have to clean it, it played.
then I looked at their profile page and under about me this is what it says.
"Please don't send any player's choice/platinum/greatest hits or damaged/defaced games. (No label damage, stains, writing on games, or missing pages from manuals.)"
I wish i would have seeen this eairlyer, the cart had someones name written on the back(seems like all SNES carts do) with a sharpie. as for the battery when I tried it out it still have the save for awhile back on it, so I think it's fine.
Dispute it and then he will probably have to send it in to Goozex for inspection.
I guess it's over, after I left a message for him to escalate to goozex.
All this happened in one day:
Seller's last comment before escalation: "Ok. I'll escalate to Goozex. It may be that a game that loads sometimes and not others is considered acceptable, but I'd like to find out. The points aren't that important to me, I just want a game that works consistently.BTW, you might have to escalate too, based on this thread:http://www.goozex.com/community/forums/p/62841/374141.aspx"
Sellers comments after escalation: "I've recently seen a different problem with a different game, so I'll have to assume it's the system. I'll change the feedback accordingly. Sorry for the trouble."
and then he changed the feedback Positive +10 :) And the whole time I was asking him to make sure it wasn't his system. Thanks for all the help guys.
EDIT: Also when I looked at the feedback he left my a tip? hmmm.

If it does works, the worst (or the best) you should get is a neutral.

No. If it works, he gets a positive, plain and simple.

I thought if there's a dead battery, it's a neutral.
If I recall correctly a dead battery is not an acceptable reason to leave negative when dealing with retro games.
From the FAQ
Retro games condition & feedback After you receive a Retro game, remember to leave feedback for the Goozex member you received it from. You can find this in your "My Requests" page: click on the button "Report Feedback" for the specific game. You can report three types of feedback for retro games: Positive feedback is expected when the following is met: The Retro game is in complete working condition and the cartridge battery is expected to be fully functional Neutral feedback is expected when the following is met: the retro game is not in the expected/advertised condition and fully working (dead battery or less than fair condition). Seller's feedback score is decreased (-10). Negative feedback is expected when the following is met: something went wrong with the trade (retro game not received, unplayable, etc). Seller's feedback score is decreased (-20). The buyer will be refunded. Seller is advised to send game with working battery -- failure may result in neutral feedback or account suspension due to negative feedback(s). Goozex guarantees that games received are in playable condition. Given the age of many older titles, there is no guarantee that the original installed battery will be functional. Forum Moderator

it's a neutral in the faq but none of the possibilities for neutral feedback make sense for it

Well I would consider a dad battery as no functioning. Besides isn't a dead battery a negative for non-working game?
According to Goozex (not me) the game can still be played, thus a dead battery is ONLY a neutral. This only applies to retro games.

You don't necessarily need the battery for the game to work.

Well that's BS. I know for GBA games a dead battery is a neg. It should apply to everything. I mean Mario All-Stars it's feasible, but say someone gets a copy of FF VI with a dead battery, That's not playable, unless goozex expects the person to play a 50+ hour game in one sitting.

Please... there are countless threads bitching about this already. The reason it is only retro games, is the age of the games makes a dead battery more likely than a GBA game.
Hmmmm. Another collector. This sounds like unfair feedback. They proly just don't like the condition and are being an ass about it.
Playing FFVI with a dead battery would be sad :( Good thing the GBA version doesnt have a battery in it :D (I opened a trashed one I found)
