MODERATORS/WEBSITE HOST PLEASE READ: Starting on 08/26/10 I sent an email to help@goozex.com in order to clarify what happened to the account that I had on here (before you ask, no it is not the one I am writing from). I had to create a second account on another email in order to write on these forums in the hopes that someone who runs or operates this company could give me some answers.. Two emails and 9 days later I have still not received a reply other than the automated reply that says that someone will be replying to my email in 48-72 hours.. Pshh yea right..

This is the first email sent on 08/26/10 Hey, tried logging on to your site, I haven't been on in a long period of time and I guess my account was deleted.. I saw nothing in the FAQ or Getting start help area about having your account deleted for not using it for a period of time, so what gives? I even traded off a game a long time ago waiting to find a game I really want on here and now what? I just threw away money? If thats the truth I will make sure I tell as many people as possible about how terrible this website is. Hopefully it doesn't come to that, I want to be able to trade some other games as well.

After I received no reply from this first email I wrote them a second email sent on 08/31/10 I am truly disappointed that I have not yet received any correspondence from your company in regards to my deleted/deactivated account on your website www.goozex.com. It has been well past 72 hours since my original question and complaint was voiced and the only thing I have received was a automated message. Thanks again for keeping up the good work over there at your so called company.

PLEASE ANSWER MY EMAILS!! I had good faith in this company even as to sending in one of my favorite games to somebody in the hopes that one day that good video game karma would come back to me with the help of this website.. Boy was I wrong..

I'm going ahead to flag this issue for customer service to reply.  Responses have been a little delayed lately, but you should receive a reply very shortly.

If you don't mind me asking, how long was your primary account inactive for? Also, Goozex normally sends out several warning e-mails if your account had been inactive for a prolonged period of time and some notification as to the reason it may have been disabled.  Have you received any of these notifications?

 

EDIT: Also, to which e-mail address did you send your correspondence to?

It was inactive for roughly a year, every once in a while since I did the trade I would sign in and out and take a look around just to make sure my points and stuff were still there and they usually were.. Until the recent time I attempted to sign in it was probably almost a year before that..

I have not received any emails of that sort, I have google mail which you never have to delete anything so I rarely do.. I searched for goozex and only found the registration email and the emails about the trade mentioned above..

Maybe because you have more than one account?  The title says other account.  You can only have one account at a time.

I'm pretty sure Goozex purges inactive accounts.

I know the FAQ used to state exactly how long you had before your lists and account were purged, but admittedly the FAQ is an often outdated trainwreck.

I would assume that he made this account to post in the forum after he'd already been disabled.  If not, yeah, that would be the case.

Pulled this from the FAQ - Trading:

Our internal security system places accounts on hold for various reasons.  The most common reasons are: multiple timeouts as a seller multiple negative feedback reportings duplicate accounts The above reasons are in violation of the Goozex Terms of Use, and are not tolerated on Goozex. In the event your account is placed on hold, or disabled, you may write account@goozex.com providing your full name, nickname, address, and date of birth.  We also ask that you be prepared to present us with a scanned copy of your photo identification that verifies that information as well.

Wow DaLastDon25, I now see why you are the last "Don", if they all had reading comprehension comparable to yourself they would surely go extinct.. Thanks to the people that actually read my entire post.. Yes this account was only created because this was the only way to get on Goozex to type in this forum and think about it for one second.. If my other account had been deleted or disabled wouldn't this make this account the only one I have? I implore you to READ and try to UNDERSTAND what people write "Don" it will make life that much easier for you and everyone around you..

Just to continue to clarify, my original account was deleted or disabled already. I then created this account to post here on the forums after sending 2 emails to help@goozex.com with no response.. So I would not technically be in any violation of any agreements or whatever.
