Same here, well over 50 things on the price change email I got and only 4 of them went up! Crazy.

Noticed this too.  Tried to make sense of it when I got the email yesterday, as pretty much everything on my Requests list that has had ZERO movement for months....went down further.  Thanks Goozex.  That's sure to entice those traders.

My sentiments exactly. I have quite a large request list, and of the 89 price adjustments, only 4 went up in price. The Godfather BR Collection was also listed twice, one dropping 50 points to 1150, and the other dropping 150 points to 1000 points (what it's currently at now). Is it possible there was a glitch of some kind?

While it may seem counter-intuitive, I think that price drops often spur trading.  Many people will hold on to a game as long as they can (especially with backlogs) as long as it isn't losing value.  Once a price drop occurs, it's likely to continue dropping in price for a while.  So when the "holders" see the game losing value, they'll activate it and get it out while it's still high, and buy it back low later when they are actually ready to play it again.

So, you may see an increase in trading on some of those games.

This is true, it often gets me to release some games I'm afraid of losing any more points on.  However, in my particular case, all the things I'm interested in are pretty low to begin with (150-400 points).  I'm afraid they may just say screw it and keep them longer or figure "It can only go up from here!".

I noticed this too. Almost always seemns counter intuitive to me when they lower games down to 100 points when they aren't available tho.

From my requests:

140 games had a point decrease
32 games had a point increase

From my lists, 75 items did -50, and 3 items did +50.

I don't know if this matters, but in the last couple of days I've added around 120 movies to my offers. Yeah, they add up. I also added around 75 games and movies to my requests and my watch list. Most of them went down.

It seemed to work.  Total number of trades went up from around 4400 to close to 4900 earlier today.  That's a quick $500 just by instituting massive deflation on the site.

Did they skip this week's price adjustments?

I think maybe they turned off price changes until they can sort out what happened. After the fact, I noticed that even some not-yet-released items got price drops--that's just bogus.

What is truly funny here is that we get announcements about being able to now search the movie database on star or director name or w/e like it was some big thing and or feature requested by members but then silence on anything of any importance. I don't get the thinking behind the decision process at work at all.

I have spent most of my money on women and beer. The rest I just wasted....
