I had the exhaust from my truck stolen from me 2 years ago, while I was at work.  Awesome way to start a Friday afternoon.

Not to mention it was only my 5th day at work....and in this state.

Shame you didn't catch them in the act. You could have shot them down, like a craigslist scammer. Big Smile

Unfortunately my paperwork was still in processing then...

Nevertheless, I don't think I could have shot them for it (no life or limb in danger), but I certainly could have forced a change of pants for them.

And there's quite a large difference between coming prepared to a meeting with strangers that may or may not harbor ill intent, and pulling a gun on a criminal in the act.

This is pretty tame but our firewood was stolen from our campsite while we were rafting this weekend.  They left everything else in the site alone.

Couple of years back someone broke into my car and stole the radio, an ice scraper and jumper cables.  The radio was actually compleley broken at the time so that was no big loss.  I was actually just thankful they did not pop the trunk since I had a nice set of golf clubs in it at the time.

They found the car yesterday. Only thing the crooks took was the stereo. And that didn't work. So ha ha.

Someone stole my friend's backpack at a campsite a few years back. We finished hiking and our group were at the water faucet washing up. The backpack was decent, but we were using it for trash. So all they made off with was some empty water bottles, wrappers, a half eaten sandwich, etc.

When I was a wee young lad, our house was broken into on Easter Sunday. I remember my Mom being very upset because the jerks stole her wedding rings and jewelry. I also remember thinking it was pretty freakin cool to watch a bunch of cops with huge guns searching our house in case the morons hadn't left yet.
