Does anyone else have a copy of Pokemon Silver, Gold, or Crystal that doesn't save? I could put up a tutorial on how to fix it, but does anyone want to read it? I'd hate to waste my time making a useless guide.
i have a gold that doesnt save havent played in a long time because of that
Mine doesn't save, but I have Soul silver so I don't need it anymore. but if it's the same save system as other Gameboy games, I wouldn't mind, I've had an itching to replay Link's Awakening lately, and that's one's probably dead.
Yeah, i have Soul Silver as well, but I dislike the 3D-style graphics. I miss the flat 8-bit games.
By now the battery on every copy of gold, silver or crystal has died. There's nothing you can do about it really.

Starting with Pearl and Diamond Pokemon started getting old. They're just reusing the same concept over and over again. I prefer the classics.
do u have a way of fixing it palkia?
I think it started more with Ruby and Sapphire. They introduced a lot of features that generation, like natures, abilities, etc. but those features were useless considering how barebones the battle system is. Not to mention the pokemon from that gneeration really suck aesthetically.
If I'm ever going to play another pokemon game I'd hope they'd make the battle system at least as complex as Paper Mario. But I suppose if they're still selling like hotcakes with a completely brainless battle system like the one they've got, there won't be any changes for a long time.
Yes, I do have a way to fix it. It isn't that easy, but its possible. It involves a soldering iron and solder.

I have a copy of both gold and silver and they both save great
I wouldn't mind a tutorial if it's simple. I've never soldered but my pokemon yellow hasn't saved for soem time.
Soldering around a battery isnt the best idea unless you really know what you are doing. And yes mrkekeru there is something you can do to fix them as seen here.

I think it has to do with usage. A game that hasn't been used in a while will die faster than one that sees regular use. Probably why I've never had to change any of my SNES games.
I can't believe people are having troubles. I still have blue, red, yellow, silver, and gold all in great working condition with good batteries.
