I don't know that you were really asking anyone's opinion.  It seems more like you wanted support from at least one person to buy a PSP.  So..

"Go ahead and buy a PSP."

And I'll wait to hear back in a few months when you're wondering why you bothered to throw that money away.  If you want, you can read my write-up about it.

Sorry, I just had to quote myself from your PSP or PS3 thread from awhile back.  I told you you'd regret the PSP.

As far as this question, yes, buy a PS3.  I would go for a Slim as well, as I don't honestly care about BC.  I have a PS2 on another TV if I want to play a PS2 game, which I don't.  :)

Yeah, something about this thread tickled my brain.  :)  It took a little digging to find the PSP thread.

When it comes to systems, I like to play it safe, right down the middle.  I look for some kind of bundle, and I want it brand new.  When I got my Slim, for instance, I got the Black Friday deal at Wal-mart last year, that came with the Dark Knight Blu-ray, Batman: AA and InFamous.  Best. Bundle. Ever.  :)

Well, like I said, I'm not a fan of used systems.  You just never know how the previous owner treated it.  Even IF it comes LOOKING pristine, you just never know.  I'd chill out a bit, wait a couple days, and see what else is out there.  Dell often has deals on the PS3, keep your eye on Slickdeals  if you don't already, along with CheapAssGamer.

Be patient.

If you don't want to be patient, order a new slim from Amazon, or go get it from Target or wherever you want.

Screw being patient, quickly buy one of these they are an awesome deal, hell buy them all if you can!

No. Get a 60GB fat one with BC if anything.

Do not pick up a BC PS3.  Those older ones are all dying and are not worth their price.  YLOD for the win!

A PS3 without BC would be just as useful to me as one that didn't play anything at all.

Wait for the 320GB PS3 Move Bundle on Sept 17th for $399. I would also suggest picking up 3D Dot Game Heroes also.

So basically what you are saying is you only play PS2 games on your PS3.  Why not just use a PS2 then?  Why have a PS3 if you arent going to play PS3 games on it?
