I want to know if your stick can break in OTP. That would be funny if it's an important moment. To bad Reach comes out the following week and I am gonna have to wait on getting this for awhile.

Last decent EA one was 07. Sadly, there won't be a 2k one this year, so I'll probably have to check this POS out. Granted it could be decent, but after 3 bad ones in a row, I doubt it.

I fully expect to buy this early on, play for a game or two, remember why I hate EA sports games now, and then sell or trade it away.

Wasn't '09 generally hailed as a giant leap forward for the franchise, followed by refinements in '10?

I thought so.  I disliked 07.  I loved 09, but was a little burnt out by the time 10 came out and got sick of it rather quickly.

This is a day one purchase easily this year.  I just wish they did their BAP more like Fifa.  It gets pretty stale pretty quick.  Probably time to go back to GM Mode.

How is it done in FIFA?  I have FIFA 09 but haven't done anything aside from goof around on the practice field.

Fifa 09 didn't really make any leaps and bounds like 10 did.  It wasn't until Fifa 10 that your attributes were determined based upon certain goals that you must meet. 

Examples:

Hat trick = shooting power +1

Run 30,000 yards = stamina +1

Score 5 FK's = FK accuracy +2

Those aren't the exact numbers, but you get attribute increases for all kinds of things like scoring from outside the box, scoring with your weaker foot, winning a certain amount of contested headed balls, etc.  There are well over 100 different goals you can complete to make your Virtual Pro better.

Plus you can take your Virtual Pro and play in BAP mode or assign him to a squad and play manager mode.

I don't think any of it was 09 from what I remember.  Pretty sure it was new to the franchise this year.

Yes we will definately be having a goozex hockey league, hopefully we can get more people to play this year and have a night dedicated to playing NHL 11

Same here.  It's a pretty empty feeling.  At this point, I'd love to run out and pick up '11 the first chance I get, but I'll be at college and without a PS3 until Thanksgiving. 

I might actually be without NHL until Christmas.  This is going to be brutal.
