You had me sold at "Dreamcast 2" - in for 10.  Big Smile

It would never happen, but it's a nice thought....

I assume your a big fan of the Dreamcast too huh? I just got the console last year but I'm amazed at the "Sheer awesomeness that is the Sega Dreamcast"! lol

I was a huge Sega Genesis fanboy back in the day.  I owned a Sega CD with a ton of games, though I never had a 32x and I skipped on the Saturn altogether for a PS1.  Dreamcast was my Sega love-fest all over again - day 1 purchase on 9/9/99.

I still have mine in a Dreamcast branded soft case, tucked away for when I feel like breaking out a little Sword of the Berserk or Soul Calibur.

I have a Genesis/CD too but I never really got into it that much. I was always more of a SNES fan. Shadowrun, Super Mario Bros. 3, and Zelda: A Link to the Past are among my favorite games.

I've been collecting tons of Dreamcast games lately. I have about 30 now. Shenmue 1 & 2 have already made it into my "Favorite Games of All Time" list. The Dreamcast itself is possibly my favorite system now. Let me know if you have any recommendations.

My top 3 dreamcast games:

Phantasy Star Online

Sword of the Berserk: Guts' Rage

Record of Lodoss War

I definitely want to get Sword of Berserk. Record of Lodoss War looks like a cool game but it's one of the more rare Dreamcast games. I will probably get it but I'll wait for a good price. As for Phantasy Star Online, is it still a good game if played offline? I've heard it's not that great unless you play it online.

That was a horrible presentation. High school project quality.

Don't blame me. I didn't make it!

That's a nice thought since I've been a huge Sega Fanboy since the Genesis days, I had to have everything Sega. This though I know is just the new "Phantom" console.

If I wanted a product that the developer was just gonna kick to the curb in 8 months I'd buy a new iphone Angel

The thought of a DC2 is a day one purchase for me.

That video looked terrible. You'd be better off with an iPod Touch or iPhone 4.

I never buy anything day one, but yeah, I'd definitely get it.

Fake or not, would you buy a new Sega console?

Why not, I could always use a fancy and expensive paperweight

I had a Dreamcast before I ever bought a PS2, or XBox. For a system that only lasted a few years the Dreamcast put out many classic games onto the market. It also featured so many first rate fighters (Soul Calibur, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Power Stone, Plasma Sword, Street Fighter, etc).

I would be willing to pick one up first day, but I agree with everyone else that digital downloads just don't do it for me.

Doubt it will ever happen since the market is too packed right now, but a guy can dream.

Simply put.......NO!

Since the GENESIS Sega has not managed to support their consoles. The last console I bought from them was the Saturn and felt ripped off with the lack of support. Add the SegaCD that I had also bought prior to and that Sega again did not support as well, I swore I would never buy a console from them again. When the Dreamcast came out, I didn't even bother looking at it because I knew it wouldn't last a year......and look....that's what happened....

You lost me at step 1. Digital distribution is the future. Steam's model is NOT.

What's wrong with steam?  It's the only digital model I use with any regularity.

Steam would be great if they let you "gift" things to people and allowed for deactivation of disc based serial numbers.  I'm not a fan of "here's your game FOREVER, weather you like it or not."
