If this is for real, what are your thoughts? I was hoping this wouldn't be so expensive. I'm excited about the possibilities of it, but I don't think $150 is a good deal, as it is nearly as much as a Wii. Hopefully, some more information will be forthcoming.

Gamestop has had it in their system at $150 since E3. Not a surprise - but bundles are where the deals will be found.

Please excuse my ignorance -- but do you need the new Xbox 360 Slim to use the Kinnect? If not, do you need an adapter of some sort, or all Xboxs already compatible?
Yes I was at E3 -- and no I didn't ask these questions then.

No.

Of sorts, yes. I believe you'll need an external power source. The Slim has a built in power source for the Kinnect.

Yeah, with an older 360 you'll just need to use the Kinect adapter for power.
I would never pay this much for the Kinect, especially since I'd need to buy an Xbox too. :)

I am going to try to get my hands on three of these through preorders, hang on to them until december, then ebay em to some bratty 12 year olds parent.
To help xbox owners distinguish between regular and kinect games they have given them purple cases.

PS3 games are going to print the Move logo on the front with some small text at the top, Microsoft's method looks better as you will be able to skip the games without trouble.
Looking forward to more furious arguments about color coordinated gaming shelves being ruined by the addition; much in the same vein as GH/PH cases.

I like the purple cases. In fact, I'm wearing a white shirt with purple stripes today. Tuesday I wore a solid purple shirt (and BC still won't hug me).
