Camping is a legitimate strategy!
Ever notice that, across nearly every multiplayer first-person shooter, people complain about the same things?
Anything in any game that makes me lose should be banned. Sure, I could just learn how to play, but it's so much easier to just blame my lack of skill on people using cheap tactics.

Anyway, if you play MW2 at all expecting a serious game you're just about as much of a noob as the guy who spawn camps with the grenade launcher or whatever. If it was adequately skill-based, there would be no cheap weapons or strategies, because the better player would always win. If there are any cheap weapons or strategies, then its the developers responsibility to make them less effective or only useful to skilled players.
Votekicking is a great feature to have if your community isn't shit. It works in TF2 where the butthurt is kept at a minimum and the players are for the most part easygoing (and you can blacklist servers full of douches) but even there it's just a feature for petty, whining 14 year olds to try to eject you from the game when you don't carry them, beat them badly, or don't follow their orders. It should only be used to eject griefers, hackers or people who are just jerks. If you don't want to play with unskilled players, don't play the sort of game which attracts them.

I may have, I don't remember. I haven't put that game in my system in a while though. I may try playing it again sometime soon and see if it's any better than I remember.

If you know someone is camping, you could just go to their position and frag em... that usually works for me. Then stay in their position and wait till they return and kill them again. then move on.

I have done this a few times. People have patterns. It is fun to know what one person does and best him. I have had small wars with one person over one building.
Noob toobing and camping is part of the game. I use PC and hate the system they have for finding servers. I always have enough lag to blame my bad playing on lag. I liked to limit the players in my server (COD4) and you ended up with less noobs.
I have resorted to the tube to take out campers. I do not use it overly. I end up using the knife/handgun combo when i start to get owned.
