From the article I linked to, it seemed to be fairly forgiving with what angles you could see the 3D effect from.  And hell, there's not glasses!  

Does anyone think it will NOT be backwards compatible?  I really don't see that happening, as Nintendo has been great about backwards compatibility in most of their systems.  Plus the unit LOOKS an awful lot like a regular DS, so...

Sony conference about done, GT5 release date, infamous2 footage and Twisted Metal announcement, another meh conference.

Sony had some good stuff in their presentation.  but mixed in too many crap announcements at the same time.  Is it really worthwhile to talk about PSN Subscriptions or ongoing PSP support?  And for goodness sake, don't mention Home again at any future E3 (or ever, really).

Cutting down the show by at least 30 minutes and focusing solely on the biggest announcements would've made this presentation a winner.  It was still ok... but took a lot of time to get across a fairly small amount of information.  Also, why do I feel like Sony was more interested in selling 3D technology for TVs than for games?  Must be my imagination.

And it's about time that Twisted Metal reappeared.  The 2011 date seems a long way off to be showing this game already... but hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

While I agree in principal as I hate Home... This may be the only time I think they have a right to hock Home.  I mean honestly, they built their entire E3 booth setup in game!  So that people who couldn't attend E3 could see it, I mean, thats nice.

Also, is it wrong that I feel Microsoft just didn't put their heart into it this year?  I mean, Nintendo had some cool curve balls and some really interesting things to show and the PS3 had a lot of cool surprises, but Microsoft... didn't impress even a little.  I mean, I'm psyched because I lean to the PS3, but my 360 really hasn't seen a lot of action lately...

Also, what happened to games with Kin...natal.  I mean, it's like they threw in an amazing new technology and forgot they were game designers.

/Big surprise for me was that Move didn't suck.  In fact, that was probably the most shocking thing I've seen in a while.  Oh, and Kid Icarus. That's awesome.

Actually, that's a pretty fair point.  If you can watch a recording of Sony's presentation through Home that would be very convenient.  Wonder how the 3D trailers would work though?

The only reason I refuse to check out the E3 content through Home is because you know that Sony is just fishing for statistics to use in their next presentation about how many people accessed content from Home and what a success it is.  I will not be a statistic!

Confirmed, I would be jumping out of my seat if I liked Zelda aside from Wind Waker.

EDIT: NO official confirmation, should read this stuff BEFORE I post it.

If you thought sonys conference was just "meh" you must have thought horribly of nintendo's and even worse of microsoft's.

My opinion of Nintendo's conference

Zelda game - unimpressive rehash of a rehash of a rehash / Not ready to be demoed and blamed everyone elses electronics.....funny how move didn't have electornic interference. (I thought at first he was making a joke about the new iphone presentation)

Kirby game - possibly the most embarressing game to ever have someone walk in on you playing

Mario sports / wii party - shovelware

3DS - not for me, but neither is the DS or any other iteration of it

Goldeneye - wish it was remade on one of the other two systems as an arcade/psn title

Metroid - see goldeneye comment, but still looks like a lot of fun

DK - HIGHLIGHT OF NINTENDO'S CONFERENCE!

I thought all three conferences bit the big one. Sony seemed to have some decent games, but they also lost me with the 3D crap. It seemed all of the conferences (including EA and Ubi) had one or two bright spots, but otherwise were packed with filler.

The 3DS spiked my interest.

Craig Harris of IGN just said that he saw the 3DS Ocarina of Time opening sequence on his twitter (@craigign). Oh, and it is backwards compatible according to various internet sources.
