I-Weapon-X:

Mechazawa005:

Akronon:

The box next to both games I ordered said this:

"This pre-owned product is guaranteed to work and may not include an instruction manual or original box."

Apparently there is a guarantee that is disclaimed for certain items.  (Other used games say it is guaranteed to have manual).  Soooooooo. . . I guess I'm not getting manuals with these games!

That's kind of grimy of them:  "We'll guarantee to always give you the case and manual...except when we tell you we won't".

Still, B1G1 is hard to pass up.

even with b1g1, cant think of anything i want

Pick up some compilations for a handheld.  You'll be glad you did when you get stuck at the airport again.

It's not really grimy.  As you mentioned, it's a pretty recent thing.  As such, although there are a few exceptions I've seen, the rule of thumb is if it is a 360, ps3, or wii game, they guarantee the case/manual/insert.  If it's a last gen game, you get no guarantee.

I jumped on this yesterday as soon as it was up.  Even so, I had a hard time getting anything, as it all went oos while I was completing the check out process.  I did manage to snag L4D2 and Darksiders for 360 and 2 wii classic controllers for under 60 in credit though.  I had Last Remnant and Infinite Undiscovery, too, but aside from I've already played them and don't really want them except to sit on the shelf, they cancelled those two on me.

Good find, although if you spend under $25 use the code SAVER to get free shipping.

It's pretty easy to pass up actually.  The inventory of available games is in constant flux, where some appear and dissappear from the list and others come up as out of stock when you check out or change quantities.  The UBOGO code is not working on all orders like it should.  The base used prices are already inflated (like Mass Effect 1 for $28.)  And people have been reporting their orders they already placed are being cancelled and are getting BS excuses from customer service.

You got to hand it to Gamestop.  They took what could have been an awesome sale and completely screwed the pooch and came out looking like aholes once again.

Hopefully this doesn't happen to me - I'm excited to be getting these compilations I ordered!

Side note - has anyone tried the Sega/Capcom compilations on the PSP?

It's just my own feeling on it.  If I see a banner on the site saying all PS3, 360 and Wii games come complete,  then go to place an order for a PS3 and 360 game (as Akronon did) and are then told at checkout they may not be complete....if it was me, i'd be slightly miffed.

Not "someone peed in my cornflakes" upset, more like "this milk is a day over expiration, smells a little funky but i'll use it anyway" upset.

Milk doesn't smell funky just one day over expiration, Mecha.  I think someone peed in your corn flakes.

I never claimed to be master of the art of analogy....  (need a bowl of cornflakes icon)

Yeah I really didn't see too much worth picking up. Might get Obscure 2 for $11 bucks on the Wii then scrounge for something else under $15.

I ended up getting four games from this sale: Zack & Wiki (Wii), Flatout: Ultimate Carnage (360), Scene It (360), and Ridge Racer 6 (360). Not the most efficient use of the sale, but it still ended up being $7/game for three awesome quick play games and a Wii hidden gem.

I'm annoyed that I missed out on Raiden Fighters Ace and the Lego Indiana Jones / Kung Fu Panda bundle, both of which were in my cart when I went to check out.

Also, paying tax for an online purchase sucks.

Loved them.  The first Capcom selection doesn't have all that many quality games, but it was still a lot of fun.  The second was a total gem, but I don't like having to use a freakin' slot machine to get all my unlockables.

Pretty hard to hate on the Sega compilation if you ignore the fact that Sega's re-released these games a bazillion times by now.

Good deal if they were the most overpriced games ever. Some of those PSP games selling used for 30+ bucks? WTF

UGH, I got Borderlands and Bioshock 2 early on, and then got a cancelation email, so I picked up AC2 and Darksiders: 20 minutes ago, what do you know? I get a cancelation on that too. Way to fail Gamestop, way to fail.
