I fired up the Wii today because I was gonna download Rondo of Blood and I noticed my pointer was bouncing all over the place as I moved the Wiimote around. Thought maybe the WiiMote had gone goofy so I tried my other one and had the same problem. I turned down the sensitivity of the Sensor Bar and the bouncing is gone but now it doesn't seem as responsive, it's kinda jittery as it goes across the screen. I tired wiping the sensor bar down with a microfiber towel, thinking maybe it was just dusty, but I'm still having the same issue.
Do these things go bad?
Nevermind, I figured it out.
I have a set of wireless headphones that use RF to communicate with the base and I've somewhat recently moved the unit just below where the sensor bar is. Needless to say when the headphones base is on it interferes with the Wiimotes. Either I'll end moving the base or just not use the headphones when using the Wii.
I actually have a similar problem. I don't believe I have anything interfering with my sensor bar. I have read it could be caused by direct sunlight.
If it helps at all I have my TV above my receiver and it's all next to my wireless router. There is also a cordless phone nearby as well. I don't know if any of these might interfere with my sensor bar. It's playable but it's very annoying when precise Wii remote functionality is needed.

Your router and/or phone might be interfering. You want to try moving those and see if that makes a difference.
Check out my musical endeavors!
After doing a little more research on the subject it seems that just about anything that transmits "some kind of signal" can interfere if it's between the WiiMote and sensor bar. For example if you're pointing the WiiMote at the sensor bar but have something transmitting signal within the WiiMote's "line of sight" it can get interrupted.
I would think that moving things that transmit RF or IR or 2.8ghz, etc. signals away from the proximity of the sensor bar would fix any problems. However without testing it myself I can only say that RF DEFINITELY interferes.
Well right now I don't have the luxury of moving anything around yet. I'll be moving to my new house in a few months so I'll have to see what I can do with my setup at that point.

The sensor bar is just 4 IR lights on each side, so any interference would be between the Wiimote and the Wii.
Heck I've used candles for a sensor bar in a pinch. Even hooked a few LEDs to a AA battery with a broken remote control until I got a new sensor bar.
Any kind of wireless stuff will interfere with it.
The Wii Sensor Bar is not compatible with teh Internetz...
