ElfShotTheFood: I wonder if they'll be free on PC, like they were with past CoD titles? They probably will be, but I wouldn't be surprised if Activision decided to charge for them.

Heck, "back in the day" map packs were always free for games on PC. You didn't have to start paying for this stuff until XBL came along and tricked an entire generation of gamers into thinking it was okay to do so.
im done with mw2
time for some BF:BC 2

+1 to this... I played a good 5-6 hours of MP this weekend on the PS3 and it just appeals to me so much more... love me some Rush mode

Damn straight. I've already got 35 hours into it...lol. I hope they keep Rush mode in BF3, a game that's always been conquest oriented. As much as I like conquest, I now prefer the focused battle lines drawn by rush mode.
I also just like team based games more myself. The closest thing MW2 had to teambased was deathmatch with less potential targets (unless friendly fire is on!).

I don't like Rush that much because once the bomb gets planted, it's just constant mortar/tank/grenade/40mmgl spam right on that spot.
Yeah... I'm definitely not paying that much for maps. Can't trade MW2 in due to Steam, but I do play on buying BFBC2 now.
People are still playing MW2...
Go back to a REAL FPS, COD4 or BF:BC2. Both are a better choice overall.
$15 bucks for 3 new maps and 2 recycled ones. This is a joke. Corporate Greed strikes again. Where is the stimulus? If it was true to the "package name" it would be free or at least $5. The joke is on us the consumers. You know the deciders of this were sitting at a table laughing, "ha ha, they'll still pay for it and we'll do the same for the next map pack".
This is how we are getting served nowadays, pay more for less content. suck it sideways Activision..... It all makes sence now.
Kotick has made it clear for well over a year now that he plans on milking as much money from our wallets as he can get...sadly, people will pay these prices without batting an eyelash :(
I refuse to buy the map packs. I'll play those 2 maps for free on CoD4. xD
The maps released are decent enough, a couple new maps for 15 bucks is way too much. On another note, here are a few more (hundred things) that I don't like either.
I have never spent money on DLC add-ons and i never will, no matter how creative of an add-on it is, beause its all a huge scam.
why not release this content along with the original game?, companies like EA (leading the charge) have gaming developers create DLC and hold it till after the game comes out in order to make a profit.
All this bitching about Treyarch, yet they released maps with an additional zombie map with their map packs, and they were $10, iirc.
The game was better too :P

I was in gamestop last night picking up god of war 3, and even the gamestop employees were saying how retarded and a cash grab this is. But then they started talking about all the great stuff in game informer, so I don't know why I was even listening to them.

Both prices were set by Activision, and WaW's were still overpriced.
DLC on consoles, because of the high barrier to entry, is overpriced almost universally. Compare it to the iPhone app market where you can get Final Fantasy for $9. You'll never find my claiming that a map pack is worth more than a classic RPG, age non-withstanding.
