So searching through Goozex, I find a PC game from 1995, called "Across the Rhine"  And for some reason, Goozex has determined that this ancient game which probably won't play on any computer is worth 550 points!! Is it just me, or do you get the feeling that someone at Goozex likes to keep the games that they have lying around at a higher point price? I smell conspiracy!!!!

Yeah, they're totally screwing people over by jacking up the prices on 15-year-old games no one wants or has.

Normally I'd go into the whole "supply and demand" crap, but there doesn't really seem to be much of either.

which is probably why it's like that. because there is no supply and demand

I don't know that particular game, but some old DOS games that were conversions of boardgames (1830, Civilization (not the Sid Meier one, but the Avalon Hill boardgame) are still sought by collectors.

New copies of the game seem to go for $55+ on Amazon, while used copies are bargain bin cheap, so that may explain it.
