Hi folks,
I'm brand new to the site, and I want to put my used copy of Mass Effect for the PC up for trade. When I do that, the site reminds me I need to surrender any serial numbers. That's fine, but Mass Effect has a one-time use code for downloading the Bring Down the Sky DLC - and I've already used it. Furthermore, there's no way to reclaim that code.
Now, the main part of the game will play just fine. It's only needed for the CD check (which can be used however many times you want), but they won't be able to get the DLC. I don't want the person on the other end to feel ripped off, but the code is gone - what should I do?
DLC codes are not required for trading here.
Its all good, dlc doesnt have to be included with shipped games.
DLC is not required when trading a game out. This is a USED game trading site after all.

Unless of course you are trading DLC. But that would be new, not used.

Awesome, thanks for the input guys!
You might want to send a PM to the person you're matched with to make sure they know the DLC isn't included. That way they'll know what to expect and you'll know all the bases are covered.

Is it tied to Steam or something similar? If so you might run into problems. Games tied to a Steam account are not tradeable.
