Thanks for the advice guys. I went hunter but found it very difficult to play solo, using only my sniper (I should have used machine guns and shotguns more). I did enjoy it but it was getting too difficult. I tried a party but my friends were finishing missions too fast and I didn't have enough time to research guns etc.

So I decided to go Soldier because of the turret. I am liking it right now. Ammo regeneration is cool. I am level 20 and just moving to New Haven.

Definitely on my second play though I will try Siren since everyone is talking about the variety in her abilities.

Third play though I wanna try hunter again. I think I will know all the ins and outs of the game till then and I would like to finish the game on the most difficult class solo.

This game is repetitive but in a very good way.

Siren class.  Period.

The Siren is so wildly overpowered when paired with a good elemental SMG it's not even funny.    You can solo everything without any trouble and will always kill the most in all multi-player games.

A Tediore Double Savior is quite effective too ;)

The thing with the Siren is that if you are in a "oh s**t" situation, you can quickly evade and run far away to recover. Other classes, you die. Early in the game, getting a second wind is easy, but nearing the end of the second playthrough, it's not easy anymore.

I used the hunter and focused on bloodwing.  I skipped all the pistol skills as I used mostly a shotgun and assault rifle.  You can take any class and any skill and beat the game easily.

I did the same thing with my hunter, but used sniper as well as shotgun and smg.

the game isn't hard, it really can be beaten with any character/skill type, but it's so much fun!

Whats the difference between play though 1 and play through 2?

All the same missions, just harder bad guys and better (higher level) loot. Also, you can keep leveling to customize your character further.
