So I recently requested God of War for the PS2, I received the game, however the manual which I received was the French one, not the English version.  Unfortunately for me, I don't speak or read French, so the manual is completely useless for me.

My question is:  I contacted the seller, but just assuming I get no reply, or they don't have the English manual, is this something I should leave neutral feedback for? And if so, which response should I select?

Thanks for any answers.

If the manual isn't in English, neutral feedback is justified.

Yeah, last time this came up, it was said a manual not in english is considered neutral, since this is a english game trading site.

Similar thing happened to me except I was the seller in the situation. I explained the situation to the buyer and my error and, I was informed it should be a netural, but they were really cool about letting it slide since it was my first transaction. In Canada, retail games need to have french + english instructions. It's an interesting point to being up since it does include the manual, however it isn't the FULL package since it would have come with an english one as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but should a game + case + french manual, technically be listed as disc only?

I agree that a Neutral is justified, but I could also see giving the person a +5 since the instruction booklet is included.

It's all in the eye of the beholder, I guess...

QUESTION:  Is the back of the game case in French as well?

The back of the box is actually only in English. The seller responded back that they didn't have the manual.  I'm going to give them the option to either cancel the trade and i'll send the game back, or accept the neutral feedback since i can't in all fairness re-trade the game once i'm done with it.

Thanks for all the answers

It should be listed as disc-only, yes.

You can re trade it just list it as disk only.

Yep, I can re-trade it as disc only, but unfortunately with how common the game is, it's unlikely someone would select disc only when there are plenty of full packages available.

The seller was indifferent as to cancelling the trade, so I did end up having to leave a neutral. Thanks for all the answers.

That's weird.  How would someone end up with a French instruction booklet for an English game? Indifferent

In Canada, french and english are our main languages, so we get the english versions of the game.. sometimes it has french + english on the back, but often it's just english so they include a french instruction booklet. A lot of the time its not even inside the case, just shrink wrapped to the outside of the game case.

Not all Canadians speak and write english. Quebec is a french province, new brunsick is a bi-lingual province, and everywhere else has a scattering of french towns that generally can speak both. Where I'm working however, there are quite a few people that can't speak much english, so I doubt that they could comfortably read it to play a video game. I'm in the bi-lingual New Brunswick too, not even Quebec.

The official languages of Canada are English and French.
