I read about in OXM one month and decided to check it out. Read the Faq twice and read some of the forums and then signed up. Loving it!
I *think* this is how I found this place. I was watching videos on YouTube and came across the one for this site, explaining how things worked.
I saw an ad posted on kijiji while I was browsing for some games. I read some reviews on the site, signed up, read the faq and some of the forums and jumped right in. Before Goozex I didnt game too much because I couldnt afford it and I would just keep my games. Now I can play every game I ever wanted to. Long live Goozex.
For years I had been going to a local Game Crazy, because it was close and I and the manager were pals. After a new manager got hired there, I still kept going. About a year ago, I went in and asked if I could get a pre-order bonus for Beatles Rock Band without actually pre-ordering the game. (My mom had already preordered it at Target and got no bonuses) The manager told me that he would on the conditions that I preorder something else and wait for the day BRB was released. I accepted, and preordered some DS game. When BRB was released I went in to get the bonus, and the manager wouldn't give it to me. He told me that it was some online code that was useless now, and so he just refused to give it to me. He even claimed he had no idea about our deal. Infuriated, I asked him to cancel my pre-order and he told me that he could only give me in store credit, not my cash back. So I bought so bargain game, walked out and haven't been back in there since.
It was while looking online for a new store and complaining about the experience that I found Goozex. Had that dude not be such a retard, I'd still be ignorant to the awesomeness of Goozex.
Long story, but that's how I found Goozex.
I come here from somethingawful's forums. Someone posted the deal a couple years back about the "refer a friend and get 100 points and a token". So I got a referral there and been here ever since.
I-Weapon-X: saw a random ad on CAG one day, did some research on the site and then never looked back

Same thing for me and I've been loving the site ever since!

It was from either the Joystiq podcast or Xbox 360 Fancast.
The now defunct EGM had an article about websites for trading used games. I actually tried another site first (can't remember what it was but it sucked) and then tried out this one with much better results. Got a free 100 point game to boot.
As a side note I applaude everyone who actually read the FAQ's before signing up...I just blindly jumped and hoped that the chute would open!

I'd used ebay, half.com, and just did glyde.com. When I was researching Glyde, everyone who was talking said Goozex. I wasn't planning to, but I was having some trouble with Glyde. So I did research and came here. Right now, most enjoyable. I expect to stick around for a while.

I used to trade magic cards on www.magictraders.com, then decided, hey, if I can trade cards online, why not games? and found a site that suggested a few others.
I had a user at gametz.com recommend this site, it was during the refer a friend promotion
CAG, and I joined with one of the 100 pt promotions. I didn't join right away, though, as my only other online trading site experience was with BarterBee, which was quite unsatisfying. I'm glad I decided to try another one.
