A coworker told me about this site. Waited a few months after he told me about it to join it. I'm glad that I did join up with Gooz. I'm loving it XD
I think I saw a Goozex signature on GameTZ somewhere and decided to check the site out.
I joined on April 1.
I was talking to a buddy who is on here and he recomened it to me,thanks Samuari262!!!
I found out about it through a thread on the gametrailers.com forums. The guy gave a link to goozex, except it was some reference thing where he was trying to have everyone be a member and him cashing in on the "get 100 points and a token for referrals" promo. Needless to say, the link was broken and mods quickly changed it to a link to the main page.
Looked at it a bit, thought about it long and hard (was never involved in game trading before), saw the prices for games, and signed up. Never regretted it.
I was forced on to this site at gunpoint with an armfull of games by the man, the myth, (but not the legend).............Kevlar51...........

I stumbled across a Goozex thread on the trueachievements.com forums. I watched the intro video and read the FAQ a few times, then decided to try it out. After the first couple trades, and browsing the forums, I fully committed by ordering a box full of bubble mailers and a small digital scale.
It's been so long now I don't remember. It was either CAG or Gamefaqs.
People on Joystiq always talked about it, then I received a free copy of Buzz Quiz World (Game Only) that I couldn't play. I knew I'd get nada for it trading at a store, so I came here to trade it instead. And now I'm here all the time.

I saw a thread on craigslist, when I was looking to try and find someone local to trade my crappy Ultimate Alliance 2 game before the world found out what I had: Ultimate Alliance 2 SUCKS!!!
Way back when they were just launching the site, BlackCoyote came to GamerDad where I was 'managing editor' and asked if he could post some info to the forums. The site owner said sure but asked me to check it out. It was all-console and disc-only at that time (just launched), but I joined immediately and started trading a month or so later when they added PSP/DS/GBA ... yeah, so that is ~3.5 years or so ago ...
