The 2nd system will have a 64-bit OS for sure as it has 6gb of RAM.  Be sure that the games/apps you use normally will run properly.

Aside from the added RAM and better video card, the CPU is only a slight improvement.  If you game on this, you should notice an improvement but it's not going to be a night and day difference.  I'm sure you can find some comparison reviews on the GeForce G 105M online somewhere.

Are you planning on gaming on this system?

I'm not a big pc gamer so I won't do a lot of gaming on this. I just wanted to know how the second one was better then the current pc I have.

It will probably run programs faster because it has a quad-core processor and more ram. If you are having problems with your current computer being to slow, this one will run faster. Why are you interested in upgrading?

It's just my opinion, but a quad core processor that's the same speed as a dual core processor won't show you much of an improvement besides applications that actually run the quad chips. As far as I can tell, there isn't as big of a spread of programs that require 4 chips as what you'd think. Just my opinion.
