There are some PC games that are attached to Steam accounts or have some lame copy protection that makes them untradeable.   My suggestion is to post a disclaimer on Untradeable Pc games that the only option is a sealed complete package.

I know there are other scenarios available.  I for one have a copy of Half-life 2: Episode 1 available to gift to someone over Steam.  I'm sure there are some people who may have opened a game and never played it and would like to trade, but an unsealed product opens the seller or buyer up to fraud by those lacking scruples.

I'm not a programmer so I don't know the kind of effort it may take to adjust for those specific games and eliminate the disc+manual and disc only options.

What's to stop a dishonest person from listing a Steam game with a used key as unopened?

It wouldn't, but it would be a negative for them and they would be out the postage.

This is why I think this whole digital gaming revolution is bad. That and the internet might explode in the future.
