In regards to the lackluster story, keep in mind that this is the middle of a three part story which traditionally is a little slower than the beginning or end...

1) The Empire Strikes Back and The Dark Knight say you're wrong.

2) That's still no excuse, even if there's a part 3 coming along the only things that ME2 established are that collectors = prometheons and the reapers want to wipe out humanity to melt them into goo to make a giant terminator robot instead of for no reason. It's basically completely worthless for the storyline.

Also, this is a completely unrelated complaint, but I think that 'Reaper' is a very uncreative name for a lovecraftian ancient space ship that devours organisms. And it reminds me of Firefly which is a bad thing.

I may have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

really? That is one of the best (if not the best) opening sequences in a game to date.

Exactly! Methinks kev has been playing a bit too much MW2.

Which ironically had more thrown-together scenes than many big-budget games in recent memory.

You say that as if I'm playing single player over and over.

the only problems with ME2 was that the cover system can be clunky and you squadmates get infront of your shots alot.

Well according to a powerpoint slide at the GDC Bioware is looking to bringing back more RPG elements to ME3

I enjoyed it, but just wish I had gotten 2 on the same system so I would have carried over my save data. I'll fix that later.....
