Sorry if I sound harsh, but to you and everyone else threatening to leave Goozex because of this either get some patience, or go. We are a used game trading community. We are not a "get the latest, hottest games as soon as they come out" community. I'm #417 in line for FFXIII on the PS3 and I'm happy with that. If the wait gets too long I'll just go buy it.

You are not the king of Goozex. You do not get to jump to the front of the queue. You get to wait like everyone else and if you don't have patience, I don't know why you joined Goozex in the first place.

 

 

Let me be clear about this: I have no problem waiting for a game. I have a problem when the line is long enough that I will never get a game.. So far, with any remotely new game that I have been looking at and trying to get, I've gotten NONE of them. As one example, I've been waiting nearly 6 months for the recent ratchet and clank game and am still not close to getting it.

I never asked to get priority over anyone else. My problem is that the supply doesn't meet the demand, which makes not getting decent spot in line a huge pain when there aren't that many games on your to-get list, effectively making the site useless to me.

So, yes, if I have no reliable way to get the games I want, then I have no reason to trade my games in for points I can't use. I'm currently looking into what games I can get that will give me the best trade-in credit at gamestop, so i can actually use my points/credit on what I actively want. It's not a 7-year old's threat to try and make "big bad goozex" pee their pants. It's stating a fact that this site is frustrating and no longer useful to me, not king of goozex, but one of their (lost) customers, which maybe some admins would like to know.

And this part isn't directed to you, but why would anyone bash someone who doesn't like the site? Clearly, a business that wants to thrive does what they can to make as many of their customers want to keep coming back. If you don't like something about a business, then you should express it to the people running the place so maybe they will consider it important enough to make a change. I think this is important regardless of whether you are staying or leaving. Businesses generally want feedback, especially when a problem is frustrating enough that it causes them to loose customers.

Never get it? Really? Hell I've been here for 3 years and I just got matched up for Valkyrie Profile (PSX), so never say never!

First point, the new R&C game came out less than four and a half months ago (October 27, 2009). You cannot have been waiting nearly 6 months.

The point I want to make though is that I received that game, Full Package, on December 21, 2009. I requested in on release day around 9am (a good 8 hours after requests could be made).

If you cannot make a request the day that a game releases, that's understandable once in a while. For a used game trading site, I think a two month wait for a game is very, very acceptable under the current system. If you're still waiting after six months for this specific game, you either took too long to get your request in or are not telling the whole story.

P.S. Open Canada as a trading region. It's like a cheat code.

Just think of it like waiting for the game to go on sale, except you don't really need to do anything but wait.

The improved servers are fantastic, I was able to get my request in without any 503 errors to speak of.

It also bears mentioning that your place in line is deceptive, since it also includes all the people that don't have the points available to actually get the game.  Just for example, for Darksiders I'm 184th, but there's only 83 active requests in front of mine.

My bad, should have said nearly 5 months then.

Anyway, if being spot 179 for FFXIII means I will only have to wait 3 months, then great, I'm fine with that, and it's what I was initially hoping for. But I have not seen lines for games that I wanted ever move at such a pace so far. Some of the older games trade at maybe 1 per month, and again, I haven't had any luck with newer games. So when i see 179 and compare that with what I've seen so far to means: "You aren't getting this game".

If that's not true, awesome. Goozex is usable to me. I'm not getting my hopes up for it though, since it's very contrary to my experiences so far.

Good call.  I thought something was up with those numbers.  I think I requested that title a day late and still have a decent position for it.

If you want games that I tried to get when they were new, that would be R&C, Demons Souls, Heavy Rain, and FFXIII. Heavy rain I wouldn't expect to get yet since it's still new. R&C is still waiting, and I got sick of waiting for Demons Souls (was still on "long wait") so I bought it recently.

I agree. Every time I had problems with the server when I used to stay up, I cursed my 20Mb/5Mb connection.

Even when the server sucks I still seem to be getting good spots.   Bioshock night was pretty furious, I think the servers even crashed at one point.    It took a couple minutes for my instant match screens to come up, and I still got top 10 spots for them.    Same thing with BFBC2/MLB Show night.  Last night I wasn't so fortunate with Final Fantasy, but even after the couple minutes to get that instant match screen and all that I got top 50 spots.    So everyone is getting hosed with the slow servers, but I think fast connection people do better in the hosing.
