I'm with this guy.  I added FFXIII (360) this morning.  Don't even what position I got because I'll have FFXIII (PS3) in my hands when I'm done work.

On a side note, how was the server load?

This wouldn't be any different than if there was a lottery system, or first come first serve, or how it is now.  As soon as people got a bad spot in line for one game, its always "throw your hands up in the air and yell "I hate this site I'm leaving"".  I say that if you are gonna threaten it, do it.  Too many people here have said it before and I still see them trading.  But like it was said before, this is a used game trading site, not "hey let's get this new game for 10 dollars cheaper near release".  Whatever spot in line you get, you got it, deal with it.

the website can handle 1000s on at the same time; the problem comes when every single one of them hits refresh at the same time, without some EXTREME servers this is inevitable to a point

believe it or not, the servers have gotten better

Take solace in the fact that people near the front of the queue are more likely to be on the receiving end of the scammers who will sweep in and offer non existent copies of FFXIII and say thanks very much for the points until they are caught. I'm sure we'll get a thread or two about that in the next couple of weeks. I can almost feel their pain already as their points and token are tied up for weeks. (Ummm. delicious)

The system such as it is, remains the same for everyone. Those people ahead of you simply pushed the button a nanosecond before you. Play more games and develop those button pushing skills. Complaining about a first come first served system without offering a viable alternative is pointless. Some people favour a lottery type of release, others a staggered/varying release system, if either of those ideas gain enough support amongst members then you might have a case for change.

I wonder if people who get awful spots in Queue, even when they start clicking at exactly the right time, have multiple click syndrome which just pushes their request farther back. I didn't even click WANT until 11:10 MST and I ended up at #50 for FF. One click and wait.
