I got a message from a seller saying we were matched on The Proposal, but he only had the single disc Blu-ray. He wanted to know if I was ok with that, but I couldn't find any info on a single disc version. The only version I was aware of was the two-disc with digital copy. Anyone heard of this? I don't mind trading, but I also don't want some kind of bootleg. He gave me the UPC, but I couldn't find any match for it.
I looked around on the web and it seems to me that The Proposal only comes on one disc as a DVD. If I were you I would end the trade unless you can find evidence of its existence, don't know if that helps
According to blu-ray.com The Proposal does have a single disc release version. But the seller should still be using the UPC to confirm it's listing and if there isn't one, he can't list it under the 2 disc Digi copy as all discs are required even as disc only.
If he wants the single disc listed, he would have to contact Rovi, the provider of Goozex's database.

I also searched the web and found the same! proposal does comes in one disk so you don't have worry about that anymore.
Since you're ok with the single disc, I'd go ahead with the trade not worrying about the possibility of a bootleg.
