Game Lost with DC: What happens for the seller?

I approved 3 trades recently and sent them all out with DC. Two of them have already been received by the buyers and all is well.

The final trade (Zelda: Twilight Princess) shows that it left my local Post Office on March 1st but has had no further updates. I've got a feeling it's not going to make it due to some kind of Post Office mystery. I can't report it to the post office as an "issue" until 15 days have past.

My question is: How does the Goozex Guarantee protect the seller in an instance like this? When the game vanishes into thin air, but shows via DC that it was shipped but never delivered? I assume they refund the buyer the points and token, but do they subtract it from the seller, even though I did everything right?

I believe, but am not positive, that everyone gets their points back. That's only in the case that it was shipped but confirmed as never delivered.

I read the FAQ, but it wasn't entirely clear what happens for the seller when something is officially confirmed "lost in transit". Has anyone experienced it first hand?

What does it mean when you confirm "everyone gets their points back"? Are you indicating the buyer gets his points back and the seller keeps the points he earned through the sale?

That's correct.

Additionally, this type of stuff is pretty much on par for USPS. It wouldn't at all be a surprise if the package still showed up at some point. Sometimes they just don't bother to scan the delivery confirmation, and sometimes the package seemingly gets stuck fallen behind a sorting machine or a mail truck seat and then decides to suddenly get itself delivered way down the road.

Thanks for the responses all. I've had great luck with the USPS so far, but it was bound to happen eventually. Glad I used DC to make the resolution (if necessary) easier.
