I went to a Goodwill a while back and found one of those Xbox 360 faceplates they only gave to the launch team, in the original packaging. It was lie $5. I sold it on eBay and I got like $200.

And I used it to buy my PSP Slim.

Too bad I was a moron and bought the Star Wars edition. Should have gotten the Daxter version

I imagine that the person who took it to Goodwill was... a moron.

Might have been.

The guy who made $40,000 off of his sealed copy of Stadium Games was about to donate said copy to Goodwill before he found out what it was worth. Why someone would donate a game or system to Goodwill is still beyond me -- have these people not heard of trade ins? Well, I suppose it's entirely logical some of them haven't (like parents who donate their kid's stuff to goodwill when they go off to college or something), but still...never heard of ebay?

What is this...inter...nets?

A series of tubes, you say?

HmmHuh?

That's a good question, you were one of the few people that stayed on topic. Oh well, don't worry about it, you didn't do anything wrong. Sorry they got deleted though, I feel kind of responsible for letting it get that far.

Goodwill? We call it a "thrift store" where i'm from.

I once found a PS1 in the thrift store that came with two memory cards and a game still in the system. The whole bundle cost me $15.00

I also another time found "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater" in near mint condition for about $2.00(i'm trading it on here of course because it's not my kind of game).

I stumbled upon Planescape Torment today for $2.00 at my local thrift store.  Since I don't really game on the PC, I came home and got matched to trade it out immediately, so hopefully someone will enjoy it!

as far as i know, goodwill is not overpriced! i went in there a few weeks ago (being the poor college kid i am) and i found a HUGE tv stand. it was 10 bucks...i bought it instantly only to find out that it was 60 brand new at walmart. goodwill is so awesome! the best part was that the tv stand pretty much was brand new anyway...what a deal =)
