It's ironic because the player (Sidney Crosby) who scored the last goal for Canada is a player for the Pittsburgh Penguins (Where I'm from), thus, American.

Just because you work in another coutry doesnt make you a citizen of that country.  If that was the case a whole crap load of the americans in the olympics would have been competing for Canada considering a lot of them train all year in Canada.

No, the real irony is that Team USA had a Head Coach/General Manager combination from a Canadian NHL team, while Team Canada's Coach/GM combination were from an American NHL team.
