Holy crap! I just went on my PS3 to play some MAG and it will not sign me in to PSN. I get this error message:
An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStationNetwork.

What is this crazy business. I've tried to sign in countless times and keep getting this crazy message. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know what is going on and how to fix this?
I've gotten similar error messages before - kind of rare and intermittent. How long has this been happening?
Best guess: more than likely it's an issue with PSN either experiencing problems or down for maintenance. With any luck it should clear up shortly.

happening to me right now. checked my account and my wife's account. can't play any disc based games that have trophys, but oddly enough it's letting me play flow.

Well at least I'm not the only one. Found another forum with this happening to tons of people. Apparently its a psn problem. But it sucks cuz I wanted to play some MAG. Hopefully it will fix up soon.

Wow, PSN usually never has any problems, so I guess it just figures that when it goes down it goes down in a blaze of spectacular glory, causing all the types of errors that were foretold ten years ago for Y2K.

My limited understanding is that if it has trophies, it won't play -- period.
Of course I just traded for COD Classic (i pwn that MP; or did) and I can't play it cause Sony has borked by ps3. Interesting how it's borked even though I didn't download an update. Thanks SONY!!!!

I think it's a server thing where the PS3 (Fats only apparently) aren't syncing right with the time/date on the server or something. Slims are fine BTW.
They better fix this tonight. Or I hope to be able to join a CASuit if they borke it forever (doubtful)

Wow...the problem seems like it could be a little more complicated than PSN just being down. Considering the data corruption problems and problems reported with the phats, i'm suddenly much happier I upgraded to a slim.
I'm scared for my PHAT now... I know for a fact the date today isn't 12/31/1999.
