Indeed.  Currently they're talking with that Sea World whale that's in the news.  That killing wasn't part of the plan, and the whale is getting a stern 'education' at the hooves of my zebra platoon.

AgreedAgreed, I really don't see the problem with letting HIM request a cancel and letting HIM paying for return shipping. You would get your points back and would be free to request a working copy from Goozex. He seems to have acknowledged his mistake and is willing to take care of it.

Granted, he should be more careful and not send out defective discs, but his resolution seems reasonable. It seems to me that it would be more hassle to dispute it through Goozex than it would be for HIM to cancel and pay for its return.

Just my 2 cents.

This is sort of what I was trying to avoid. If I acknowledge that there may have been an issue with a disk, and want to go out of my way to resolve the problem without receiving negative feedback so both parties win... basically there should be an "alternate option" button, so that I can continue to use the service without having issues.

Another question this brings up, which ***DOESNT APPLY TO THIS SITUATION*** what is to prevent someone from after receiving the game, scratching it and then leaving negative feedback? What are the guidelines or rules that Goozex uses when arbitrating these sorts of things?

You can negotiate a different solution in the resolution center, which is available after negative feedback is left and disputed

As for deliberate scratching, usually it is pretty obvious to some one who looks at a lot of video games to separate normal wear and tear from intentional damage

That was actually just what I was looking for. Thankyou very much everyone who has contributed, good or bad. It's nice to see at least that people do read the forums and if I need to reach out that people are here. Apologies for the fire.

that's bs.  I have not heard of Wii's being temperamental to that extent.

My Wii which is one of the earlier models has trouble reading discs that are scratched.  They play just fine on my sisters Wii so yes there is such a thing as a Wii that is more sensitive than another.

I dont see anyone calling you a liar.  I never said that I dont believe you when you said the game didnt work I just stated that some systems can read scratched games easily and others cant therefore you can not come to the conclusion that the other user did not test the game.

Wow I should have read the rest of the thread before I responded.  Agreedagreed you need to learn how to handle a joke.  From what I can see people are being nice and offering you advice and you are being a huge asshat about it.  If you dont like the advice ignore it.  If you are going to post in a thread stating you are the buyer then you should have expected to recieve some advice.  These are public forums so no matter how many times you say you dont want advice you are still going to get some.  And if you act immature people are going to tell you how it is.

These forums are generally pretty friendly and stuff like this is usually brought on by someone who cant take a joke and has to throw a fit because they were oh so offended by a joke, a very unoffensive joke.

This sounds fair to me. 

 

The calling me a liar (implied not outright) occurred in the 1st and second posts respectively.  And I did not and do not want any advice from the hyenas on this forum, again I did not post this thread, I was merely attempting to defend myself, as the other option would have been to say nothing, and let his biased account stand alone. For an example of bias, he did not mention it was Guitar Hero bundle.  nor why I refused to send it back to him, which I had already told him. 

on a separate note, I can't send it back to him, b/c I need it to send to Goozex if i need to report a negative.  There's no guarantee he would rectify the problem, then I'm stuck without the proof that I need to win the dispute.  It's his responsibility as seller to send me a working disc and guitar at least, or get negative simple simple.

Why does no one chastise dj for the lack of FP, regardless of condition of disc?.  not hugely important in this case, but it should have been mentioned repeatedly based on other forum threads I've read.  not a peep this time.  admittedly i stopped reading and replying after page 2, and glad i did based on the last few I couldn't help but see. 

 

I do not have a "sensitive" Wii console, as already stated.  OK, it could happen, but you would have to have a finicky one, and I do not.  perhaps if you could see the ridiculous scratch, you would not be making such a ridiculous claim. I attempted to take a digital photo, but all I can get are reflections off the disc.

I'm sure you would feel differently if you were the buyer, the seller posts the situation his way, you chime in, and then a mass bitch session aimed at you erupts. continuing to call me names doesn't really help. not that I care what any of you think, really. except maybe devyanks90, he seemed reasonable. The main difference between you all and me is that I KNOW I received exactly what I said, a badly scratched and unplayable disc, and a pretty nice working guitar, and you all apparently assume I am lying right off the bat.  suspicious minds.  Becasue If you assume I'm telling the truth, which I am, there;s no way you unload on me.  this is early on, first page I'm talking, before the general unfriendliness pissed me off. I have to rephrase, I was angry, at the assumption that I'm dishonest in any way pervaded. but mostly just upset. 

Today I see a thread,  different situation, but a complaint involving a dispute, and someone named CHooch jumps right on there with a reasoned friendly but authoritative approach.  Where were you yesterday, Chooch? or did this little swap meet call in some backup from on high?

The admittedly minor (and unfunny)  joke was just inappropriate from someone who's supposed to be maintaining order.  Renaissance 2K started it, that's whatever, he doesn't moderate for Goozex. Oh and just imagine for a second you're on the phone with customer service at any establishment, and they tell you to lighten , up, Francis?  Scorched Earth.  unless your name actually is Francis, then my apologies. 

I won't be looking at this anymore.  no point. good day.  that is all.
