The buyer's user name in this situation is rather ironic, don't you think?

(not you specifically)

I am the user, so how is that not me specifically?

No, I'm quite sure, I will have to send the whole shebang, guitar and all if this doesn't get resolved, which doesn't look too good. thanks for the hope though.

See here is the thing, I would not have knowingly sent out a broken game. I DO NOT MIND paying shipping costs to have this resolved without having anyone leave negative feedback anywhere. I can easily get the game and switch it at a local store for a new working copy no problem. I would even be happy sending it back with shipping costs paid, but the user decided they wanted another game right then. It's going to suck if they have to send it to goozex and pay for all of this, and then only to have them be out of the game and shipping costs. This does not seem right. Isn't there a better solution then the buyer having to pay to have it sent to goozex and waiting? There should be a way to settle independently from Goozex where both parties can agree on a solution.

How is it a crap situation on his end? Or more accurately, he created his crap situation, I am merely snared in it.  I agree either way it is crap for me though. unless he sends me a working disc.

I would like to hear from him, how exactly such a large scratch escaped his notice? or where the manual and box are,  whether he tested it at all, whether it was even his copy or has a Wii to test it in in the first place. (I'm thinking maybe he got it 2ndhand somehow, garage sale, etc, and didn't even know what condition it was in?)

Also, before you start jumping to those conclusions, I own a launch wii, bought the game from Circuit City and it worked when I had it. I guess I am just confused as to why you won't let me exchange it for you, and pay the costs. Puzzled.

But you sent out a broken game unknowingly, which isn't great.  I will concede that you didn't do it knowingly, OK? I am not scamming you, and you did something shall we say unwise, by not looking at or testing the disc, and i did something unwise by accusing you right off the bat. I am not sorry for it, so I can't apologize, I DID NOT A TINY THING WRONG HERE.

Maybe now that this is public we can trust each other enough,  me to send it to you, you to do whatever (sketchy sounding shenanigans) at the local store?  unless that's where you got it in the first place?) so I get a working copy of the game.

I "decided" I wanted a working game or I was going to have to leave negative for unplayable disc, that's it. in 6 days , maybe less.  seller is in CA, I'm in NY, not enough time for even one leg of the roundtrip, much less 2.

I would get reimbursed in tokens, which doesn't thrill me, but at least it is equal value, and I am down to zero atm.  I'd much rather keep the guitar, but you would get reimbursed nothing, and have your points removed, b/c there is an extremely slim chance of this thing working in any Wii whatsoever.  I'm not an expert, but I don't have a particularly "sensitive" Wii that's ridiculous. if that were the case, i would have had lots of issues with my Mario Kart, which I have managed to ding up a little my own self (not trading it, it's a rental copy to boot) (plus I love MK)

FYI you can leave feedback, seller can dispute and you can extend the trade window an additional 14 days.

If you kept the guitar he would get credit for the trade...I don't believe you can just leave negative, keep the guitar and send the game in for testing.

because I would have to leave negative in the meantime, and if you disputed (which you would) I would have to ship the whole thing to Goozex, which is not ideal for anyone, duh.  If you were next state over or same state, maybe we could do it in time, but west coast east coast?  problematic.

so where did the scratches come from?, I'm puzzled as well, b/c if it isn't 2ndhand, then ? did you leave it out?  It wasn't loose in the case, and there are a LOT of secondary scratches as well, but the main one is what makes me think makes it unplayable. and the main over and over question, did you even glance at it before you packaged it?.  I KNOW the answer is no, or you would have known.

I know, that wasn't a question.  I was just stating in general, "I would rather keep the guitar" as in the game itself is not as important to me, but it is worth 300 of 800 pts basically.  I wasn't under the impression I could just send the game in, that would leave wide open spaces for fraud, not in my case, but in general.

trade window is interesting, but still not sure we could do both trips in time.

Do they still make those "chill pills" we always used to hear about? Anybody have an extra bottle?

I'm really not at all amused here.  I don't feel like making fun of me is the proper use of the moderator's role at this point.  I know the taco is supposed to be your version of the pizza which is supposed to be a just kidding thing, but I think you need to actually use the pizza and maybe pick better times to needle people, like in a thread when they're not being accused of scamming, at least at first - and  what if I wasn't here to defend myself? tietherope's answer would have stood, and that's garbage.  this may be funny to you, but try really imagining you're in my shoes for a second in this trade.

ummm, you do realize circuit city went out of business over a year ago, right?

You want my advice?  The seller presented you with an option, you refused it, so leave negative feedback as the product you received doesn't work.  Ship it to Goozex when the seller disputes it and live with Goozex's decision.  How's that?

also:

No need to get your under-roos in a bunch.  Let the system do the work   hold the cheese, I'm lactose intolerant.

Edit:

Seen as you are dead-set against mailing the guitar/game anywhere ne alternative is to leave positive, keep the guitar and buy/Goozex the game itself.

Happy trading!

nope, I really don't.

I didn't ask for it, and I didn't start this thread.  I also didn't ask to be belittled repeatedly.  you suck at your job. it's moderator, not comedian.  that's not abuse, just a fact.  you're supposed to keep things even not take sides (and making fun of one side is taking the other side appearance wise) I know you don't have any "superiors" or anyone at all who cares about what you say here, but that doesn't mean your comments are cool.

The system doesn't work all that well in the first place, in this case.
