Was there ever a doubt that they didn't scan them as they were delivered? I mean, the first hint might be that they're scanned as delivered a good few hours before the mail typically gets to the house, at least in my case.
Let me give you some info since i am a mail carrier...It is possible (but not recommended) that we may scan things delivered in the office if we end up casing them with the regular mail, such as bubble envelopes or other flat items...with boxes and such i usually scan them either at the point of delivery or at the truck before i start my walking loop.
Wow, breaking news
I'm so confused you say Postal worker but then you say it's UPS. which is is? USPS or UPS?
Um back to the recording issue.. It was a VOICEMAIL. I think the part where the voice goes "Please record your message after the tone" was probably a big tipoff to the person leaving the message that what he was saying was going to be recorded.

I have a mailbox at the UPS Store (used to be called Mailboxes ETC until UPS bought them) and I have all my mail and packages delivered there. So this thread relates my experience with the USPS Delivery Confirmation service which has nothing to do with the fact that I get my mail at the UPS Store.
