I was going to request it. But seems like torture. I see a DO copy up there. But I don't know if thats yours

No, my copy is whole package, brand new, just removed the wrapping and that's it, in perfect mint condition.   And that's also why I am getting rid of my PS3 version (glitches and no patch); that and I am getting rid of most of my PS3 games, mainly a 360 guy, even if a PS3 version of a game might be better of have more content, cannot enjoy playing on PS3 as much as 360, this is personal preference of course, I love my PS3, use it daily but not for games of late.

Did you get matched? I don't see a package up there

Yeah, I got matched, haven't accepted yet, want to make sure my copy is still at home (it is, but I like being 100% sure before accepting high point games)

Still waiting to be matched.  I'm at #4 right now, but 6 trades are going on now.  So hopefully soon.

yes that'll work.  The installed DLC on the HDD will then be accessable later with the standard version of Fallout 3 (xbox 360 only)

get your points man.

Can confirm I used the GOTY edition to install the DLC into my HDD (its labeled disc 2 in the GOTY edition copy), then used my original Fallout 3 disc (no disc 1 or any label in it, just the original copy) and worked great, once you leave Vault 101, you will receive all the radio transmissions for the DLC missions.

This trading exchange to get more points would work, but it would take some time.  I just bought a GOTY edition at Gamestop used and then return it in two days for a full refund.  Faster and easier for me.

How big is the GOTY DLC installed on the 360 HDD?  I have a tiny amount of space on my hard drive unfortunately.

Not as big as I expected actually for 5 DLCs.  On average, each DLC pack was around 400-500 MB.  Overall, it was a little over 2GB just to be sure.  U can probably find the actual sizes online or something.  I have a 120GB so I didn't check overall, I just put stuff in there.  Only have about 30GB free left.

Just to Clarify. We are talking about the Ps3 version right. So I can buy the PS3 GOTY edition and put the DLC on my Ps3 and then get a cheaper regular edition?

Not according to mhatter on the first page.  Apparently everything is on one disc and it's not a seperate install for the DLC.

No, everything has been about the 360 version except when I spoke about the version I am trading on Goozex and about the version with more glitches (I am trading my PS3 version of the GOTY edition).  The PS3 Fallout 3 games are all one disc only, so the Fallout 3 (original release) is on 1 Bluray and the Fallout 3 GOTY edition for PS3 is also 1 Bluray only, so you cannot share the DLC on the PS3 platform.

But the 360 version of the GOTY edition has two discs, so you could just rent the Fallout 3 GOTY on Xbox360, download the DLC into your HDD and play the original Fallout disc and it works the same.  The thread was about if you rent the Fallout GOTY edition on 360, you can install the DLC on you HDD, then trade it out right after, not lose any point assuming it doesn't decrease, and receive the Fallout 3 original game for less points and still have the DLC cause you installed it.   (this whole thing takes a while though I guess, as the 360 GOTY version is still being requested and the Fallout 3 original is being offered a lot too I think)

Hope that makes sense.

Alrighty, looks like that my plan is good to go. I will request GOTY edition install the dlc, than I'll go and buy Fallout 3 brand new for $30 keep that for myself and send off the GOTY edition back to someone else.  So I basically get my 1000 points back assuming the points don't drop, and than I basically get Fallout 3 and all it's content for $30.  :)
