I think it's safe to say both countries had an excellent Olympics. Canada set the record for most golds, and the US set the record for most medals overall. I don't think the 2010 Olympics could have ended any better with these two countries facing off in an amazing, closely matched contest in the rink (well, I guess I can think of one way it would have been better, but a silver is nothing to sneeze at!).
that is what hockey is all about. great game.
How the hell this has not been posted in this thread yet is beyond me: (NSFW)

criminolelawyer: ghostworld:Hows it feel to get worked by your lil brother in the north? Oh Canadians, maybe one day I'll sit down and teach you how to properly use American slang. "et worked" is a term we here in America apply to a contest in which one opponent clearly dominates another. When a team scores a goal in sudden death, it is not appropriate you use the term "worked". A more appropriate way to say it is, "how does it feel to be bested in an extremely tight competition by your little brother in the north." Congrats Canada, that whole owning the podium thing may work out next olympics, until then thanks for the oil.

Hey I'm a girl, what do I know about sports. I just watched to see Canada kick USA's ass!
I guess Canada just had to settle for owning the top step of the podium.
PS - When the US scored to tie the game, I heard someone across the street yell "NOOOOO!!"
Umm, last time I checked, Canada did not "get worked" by the US the first time. 5-3 with an empty netter? Maybe you should learn how to use that "American slang" a bit more concisely. Perhaps you're a little bitter about us winning more gold's than you guys. Congrats though, I'd love to live in a country that has a lot of athletes who were the first and second losers.

good game -- we might have the lost the big game to Canada but we have more medals overall so that means we're better
