Toronto is the capital of Ontario (a province). It's a really short flight (flight path is over the lakes), but it takes a long time to drive :/

Well, it's a shame Finland didn't show up to play this afternoon. Sloppy passing, poor forecheck, and horrendous goaltending. Oh well, hopefully the Canada-Slovakia game proves to be more entertaining!
I think Canada is owning the podium. Add some weights to the medal count:
Gold %USA = 25%Germany = 31%Norway = 40%Canada = 47%Russia = 20%
So of the top 5, Canada has the highest percentage of gold.
Now that i think about it...all that hot gas last week about the complaints against Canada not owning the podium was like saying the Saints would lose when they were down 7-0 in the first quarter of the Super Bowl.

The podium has three spots. I think you mean they're owning the gold race.

Ok...I might give you Silver and that it has some meaning. But bronze is more like "thanks for coming, here you go..."
Also, if you consider owning the podium as to making the losers listen to your anthem...then yes, they are in the top tier and doing just that.

i'm reading and watching, Canadians are great at multitasking .
2-1 after two periods. Hopefully Canada can hold on to the lead.
The US is really picking up the pace, should be a great 3rd period.
