Hey everyone,

I'm from Winnipeg,Manitoba.(central canada for those of you who dont know where that is).

I just sent Arkham Asylum and Dead Space to Quebec and Ontario respectably.

I spent almost $4.00 for 2 bubble envelopes.

Now with that being said, the batman game is a 900 point game and dead space was 550,there was no way i was gonna send it regular mail without tracking.

so regular mail with tracking costs 11.00 and 2 bucks for the bubble mailer. times two.

expresspost would arrive in 2 days, and regular was 4 days.

my beef is Canada post really has their hands deep in our pockets, and since there is no other game in town,we are @ there mercy.

so in closing it costs me $29.43 CDN to ship 2 games with tracking domestically.

my friends, good thing I bought $200 worth of gift cards @ 50% off,I will not be sending anymore games out anymore.

so what you are saying is...even if shipping 2-3 1000 point games.

do not use confirmation?

i cant take that chance.

I'm actually in a similar dilemma. Sip with tracking and pay extra, or take my chance with the cheaper price. I've decided to take my chance, and I'm hoping that bad luck does not fall on me.

For DC/tracking to be worth the cost, the post office would have to lose one in every six 1000 point games you send. That or get a bad buyer one in every six 1000 point games you send. Both are very rare occurrences.

There's also registered mail. Which I think is just DC with signature required for like $1 less.

Better to buy bubble mailers in bulk at the dollar store or Wal-Mart. The singles/packs you get from Canada Post are too expensive. Also a good idea to reuse bubble mailers from games that you've recieved.

Here's some threads that might help you

No one on canada sends them with tracking..  Don't buy envelopes from Canada Post.  Dollar store bubble envelope + $2 shipping...easy.

Yea. I have some trepidation everytime I ship something up to Canada because it costs way too much money to do delivery confirmation. All you can do is hope that you get matched up with people who care about getting cheap games enough that they don't want to give people like me an excuse not to trade with people from Canada.

Just save your customs form. In a dispute, Goozex will accept it as proof of shipping.

I never use tracking numbers.  its way to expensive.  The only few times I have used tracking numbers is when I'm shipping a larger package, like a box set which must go out as a package which includes tracking.

Don't worry I haven't had a problem yet.  And I've mailed out about 96 games/movies.  Just keep your receipts.

The number on the customs form (USXXXXXXXX) can be used on USPS web site for tracking. It will tell whether the package has been accepted at Canadian customs.
