If I had just won some money I'd be picking up the FFXIII 360 bundle :)

devyanks90:If you decide to buy the 360 from Best Buy, do NOT buy the warranty. I repeat, do NOT. All they do is ship it out to microsoft as part of the normal return process. You are paying them $60 or $80 to ship the thing. You will not get an in store replacement. (note: i work at a best buy. and please disregard the paragraph if you buy it from the best buy where i work as that will make my supervisor beat me less)
While that's somewhat discouraging, does it still allow for a true replacement if you have to return it 3-4 times in 4 years, similar to the TV warranty?

Unless customer service messes up, no. Basically it's one and done, If the xbox breaks, when you bring it in you get a replacement (it is slightly faster than the normal process) and have to get a new plan to cover the replacement.
First PS3 online (meijers)
New PS3 FF7 import version online
Xbox pro online (ebay)
xbox arcade online (dell)
xbox arcade online (amazon)
wii x2 circuit city online w/ free shipping
personally, i hate paying taxes so I like to shop at amazon.
but Dell is currently running a deal for Xbox arcade + $50 dell gift card for $200.
well i forgot most of my old ones but my last 4 was in order of purchase was:
1.original pro 360- best but (online) and it was a pain in the arse when i got a defective one off the bat.
2.an arcade 360 and a 120gb hdd- peach direct (online; through my credit card with them), they were out of stock on elites but i ended up getting the hdd for $120 at the time.
3.PSP1000- traded a guy games for it on Gametz but didn't really use it much so i traded it back out.
4. another arcade 360 and a 120gb hdd-Amazon.com; i had some gift certificates and did their trade in for bonuses and since my original pro was already 3 years old i decided to buy a new console and i got the 120gb hdd new bulk packaged from a seller on amazon and i am pretty sure it is oem but the hdd was ~$80 shipped. I sold my old one bundled with some games for $225 but having a new jasper unit, bigger hard drive, and HDMi was worth it to me.
If you are going to buy one just look for the deals, extended warranties on the 360 is not really a must buy for it anymore since they came out with better hardware, you just need to take care of them and dust them out from time to time. Also it is good to buy in store because then you have it ASAP.

Got my 80GB with some BC from BlockBuster Bundled with Surf's Up and the offroad racing game forgot the title. Which is now dead. I don't trust BlockBuster electronics anymore and if i buy again i will go the Marine Corps exchange where i dont have to pay tax anyway, which i should have done, oh well.
I forgot because I didn't have to "buy" it,but I got my DS LITE from My Coke Rewards, even shipped for free, a couple years back when the program actually had attainable prizes

Nice. I actually won both a Wii and a PSP from one of those Stacker carnival type prize games. I'm always on the lookout for one with an Xbox or DS in it to try my luck again!
For the 360 Warranty is key. If you buy online only buy new. You don't need a 360 with red rings or some other problem. Really I (along with most everybody else) suggest a good local retailer. ...remember: a good price is only good if the product actually works!!
Die with your boots on.
I get mine at best buy. Lots of RZ points.
